Was this a felony that plead down to a misdemeanor assault or was it charged as a misdemeanor all along. Regardless I think most people would not be happy with getting $100 a month for a $27,000 debt. This apparently was not two mutual combatants outside the Stockmans but a blind side sucker punch in someone’s home by an unwanted guest.

There has to be a legal basis or reason for including someone in a suit. There's no legal basis or reason for including UM and the 2 guys in this suit. He, of course, has every right to make a claim against Brown.
By the way, $27,000 seems like a large amount to me. "“At this point I’ve spent at least $5,000, and there’s more to come,” he said in an interview. “My other (front) tooth is wiggly as well.“

Question, so if a regular student does what Brown did, do those in charge the field of study of the student get sued? Does our marketing dept get sued for recruiting students, etc? Every school recruits students, and athletes. This lawsuit is really far fetched. To my knowledge, Brown had no prior legal issues. IF true, to me, that does indicate that Hauck is recruiting quality people. I am sure, there are regular UM students with more on their legal records than that of Brown.
Speaking of Brown, credit to him for taking responsibility for this. This case better be thrown out. It will set a terrible precedence for athletic and student recruiting guidelines.
Again, Stitt recruited Brown, not Hauck.
You’ll do anything to deflect anything negative about your man crush.
I am not sure who initially recruited him but Bobby definitely recruited him as well.
Bobby didn’t blindly send him his intent letter.
Bobby accepted the commitment
Bobby sent and accepted the signed intent letter
Bobby is the ONLY head football coach at UM
With that said Bobby is not responsible for a dumbass going out and punching someone but he is responsible for what he does about it.
Nick Saban kicked 5 star recruit, Vandarius Cowan off the team for the same exact thing Brown did.

Brown should not be a member of the Montana Grizzlies football program.

Throwing a punch? No.
Landing a punch which causes serious injuries, yes.
See, I hold people to very standards. Always have, always will. I also believe that the honor of donning a uniform with MONTANA on the front subjects one to a higher level of responsibility. You may feel differently and I’m fine with that.

:thumb: Since 2012, discipline is not left just to the AD and Coaches. True Brown has not been removed from team, but he also has not appeared in any games this year either.get'em_griz said:Good thing we have a student-athlete code of conduct that determines whether or not a player will be allowed to stay on a team or be removed.

The State is willing to stipulate that there is indeed the rare punchable face. Most are directly above a bobcat sweatshirt.
