McGhee out til October

Keep winning? Uh you just lost. cat fans need to realize anyone can win on any given Saturday. They have untested qb who is lucky to be playing CO Mesa this week.

grizatwork. From what I've seen on Egriz since the day DeNarius McGhee became the starter at MSU is about 5-10 regular posters and occasionally a newbie who actually post negatively about DeNarius. Do you know what percentage of Griz Nation 5-10 people is? I don't know the exact number but it's miniscule at best. In real life, face-to-face, I have yet to meet a Griz fan who doesn't have a tremendous amount of respect for DM, and will be so glad the day he graduates. Me included. Once again, Chris Lynn is a great guy and I'm so glad he put this thing together years and year ago. But Egriz does not reflect every opinion of every member of Griz Nation around the world.

Trust me, in the non-cyber, non-anonymous world of the Griz-Cat rivalry, Griz fans respect the hell out of DeNarius and know how good he is.
... And some of us are just poking fun... :D

Yep, it's been awful hard to pick on a guy as good as Delirious the last several years.

Not only is he good, He's adorable

Here is an insightful article on McGhee and how he is perceived around the league. The article is written by Colter Nuanez. I've started visiting Bobcatnation to read some of Colter's articles, since someone pointed out his recruiting page on that site. He does good work and provides a nice service for them.

Anyways, thought I would post this with the hopes that it would discount some of the absurd remarks made on here from some of the obsessive Cat haters on this board. Hope the kid can recover and finish out his career strong. He is a great player and I'd like to see another Brawl for the BSC championship at the end of the year.

It doesn't matter, it wont affect them, haven't ya heard the Bobcats have depth for days. Heard they were changing their name to the Montana State Depthcats, shit we wont even notice these guys aren't out on the field.

If you believe some Cat posters, the Cats are so deep and prepared that they have multiple back up conference MVP's and Payton watch list players lined up to take over for McGhee and anyone else who gets hurt. They won't miss a beat. No one will miss McGhee. The CMR coach once said Bleskin reminded him of DD. Further proof that the Cats have a conference MVP and Payton award winner ready to take over. The evidence to support this is so strong that even some Griz posters are helping spread the word to Griz nation. Someone should start a roll call thread to have all UM egriz posters go on record agreeing that the Cats will not miss a beat, and UM should be careful what it wishes for.
I know, right? And when you type your opinion up they wanna attack you. I don't believe a thing about what they believe Bleskin can do. I just read an article on FB that he is 5/8 and 46 yards over his career. Yes, I realize he is young and I'm not cuttin on the kid but how is anyone able to make an accurate assessment of what he can do with this stat? I'm not buyin it. For one, I seem him play against Monmouth and he didn't do a whole heck of a lot, 5/8 and 46 yards. I think he was in for most of the 4th Quarter. I'm not buying it for a second. If he gets out there and does make big plays, and not against anyone in their cupcake schedule in the next few weeks, against a formidable opponent, I might raise an eyebrow. But until then....

The Bleskin stats you posted above look more like his career stats. He was 2-4 for 28 against Monmouth.

And if my Maths are correct, he's good for 14 yards a pop! Well done young jake, well done!

To end all this bullshit of bullshit...DM is no Travis Lulay...and I'll leave it at that..I feared TL way more than DM.

I have personally never feared a cat, but Travis Lulay was a better quarterback than McGhee could ever dream of being. Ol' bow-legged ginger could ball.

While I don't think McGhee is that great of a QB he is a great person and a class act. Its an unfortunate injury and I hope the guy has a speedy recovery.

All fans hope and some even assert that when a starter is hurt, the back-up will be just as good -- or even better. While is does happen, I believe you will find it is rare. Really the best case you can hope for is that they come in and play within themselves and not try to be a hero, even when heroics are needed. A team would rather take an early season loss than destroy the confidence of a developing player, the QB in particular. What you can reasonably hope for is that they take care of the football and have the other starters step up and make plays. They are for the most part the little Dutch boy trying to prevent catastrophe. Each game needs to build on the prior and perhaps by the 3rd or 4th game he'll be effective. Bottom line: You can't coach or practice game experience. DM has it and the backups don't.

Hmmm, no, I can't remember for sure, but I think his last name was not Bleskin.

Are you sure? seems to me he was from Great Falls wasn't he?

Yeah those Dave Dixon guys (or whatever his name was ) come along everyday. I heard the Griz had seven of them on the practice squad.

In 1992 I think it was Bert Wilberger.

Exactly. The Great Falls Kid was number 3. You can't catch BW with a trick question.......

And when Lebo went down in 93 he traded reps with the Great Falls kid. Even when the Great Falls Kid got MVP honors at the end of the year, there were more than one who thought Wilberger would have been the better choice.
