The thing is, by moving Bleskin to QB, now the 'Cat's lose their best QB and their best receiver. Bleskin accounted for about 40% of the 'Cat's receiving yards, and 30% of their catches this year. Even if Bleskin is close to being as good as McGhee as a QB, is he going to throw it to himself 40% of the time? I suppose the 'Cats could have a backup receiver that is better than Bleskin and will take his place without missing a beat.

Sad but true. It's really frustrating watching this window go by with AD and Jared Allen. He simply doesn't have the talent to pull it together, but we'll still give him another six games to try before we cash in the season and move on to Cassell.

Exactly. The Great Falls Kid was number 3. You can't catch BW with a trick question.......

And when Lebo went down in 93 he traded reps with the Great Falls kid. Even when the Great Falls Kid got MVP honors at the end of the year, there were more than one who thought Wilberger would have been the better choice.

All they had to do was fast forward to 1994 when DD went down and UM had to use Wilberger against YSU in the semis. Worst QB performance I've ever seen in spite of the world class OL. Had all day to pass and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Rivaled Edwards' performance against MSU in '02 for the all-time stinker.

If you believe some Cat posters, the Cats are so deep and prepared that they have multiple back up conference MVP's and Payton watch list players lined up to take over for McGhee and anyone else who gets hurt. They won't miss a beat. No one will miss McGhee. The CMR coach once said Bleskin reminded him of DD. Further proof that the Cats have a conference MVP and Payton award winner ready to take over. The evidence to support this is so strong that even some Griz posters are helping spread the word to Griz nation. Someone should start a roll call thread to have all UM egriz posters go on record agreeing that the Cats will not miss a beat, and UM should be careful what it wishes for.

Yes, I realize he is young and I'm not cuttin on the kid but how is anyone able to make an accurate assessment of what he can do with this stat? I'm not buyin it. For one, I seem him play against Monmouth and he didn't do a whole heck of a lot, 5/8 and 46 yards. I think he was in for most of the 4th Quarter. I'm not buying it for a second. If he gets out there and does make big plays, and not against anyone in their cupcake schedule in the next few weeks, against a formidable opponent, I might raise an eyebrow. But until then....

So... He's 5 for 8 career, running with the 2's... In garbage time. Cool. And that tells us what exactly? You guys can hope and predict all you want, but I'm going to be back here reminding you how good of a QB he is after every game. Count on it. Sure he'll make some mistakes, but we'll keep winning. Just watch.

Absolutely not. Nobody could say that with a straight face. I don't know that JB will ever be as good as DM, but I can tell you that he's pretty damn good and is only going to get better. FYI - I was never one that predicted we would win the league outright, even with DM. I did predict we split the title for the 4th year in a row, and I am sticking with that prediction.

Honestly I see us winning the next two games. Defense will carry the Cats through and Jake will be fine and the running game will improve. No worries!
