I wish Darius McGhee a speedy return--he strikes me as a class kid, and what a bummer to have to stay on the sidelines and watch his team for 3-4 games, while he heals and rehabs, especially during his senior season !!!
Hopefully, McKinney or Gustafson could step up if JJ goes down. McKinney has good mobility and speed, but last year he couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with most of his throws. Supposedly, he worked long and hard on his passing during the offseason. He did play quite a bit last year until replaced later in the year by SSH.
Hopefully, we don't have to find out, but I do hope if we have a big lead in the 3rd or 4th Qtr, JJ gets to rest and his heir apparent, be it Trent or BG, gets some badly needed time and experience under center. (Nothing against SSH--he has a decent arm, but the foot speed of the drews: Drew Miller or Bledsoe. While we may have moved away from the spread, QB's still have to be mobile and SSH is definitely not a threat to outrun anyone but my grandma !!!)
