Because the Griz are very very good in most years and dominated in the conference. Other good teams couldn't get past the Griz.

Sorry, but in the Hauck years, it is indisputable that the Big Sky was a terrific conference.

Hauck proved he could beat up almost every team in the playoffs. Had a terrific playoff record.

Hauck proved every year that he could get it done, and is proving that again at UM.

If you really think some of the stuff you say, you know little or nothing about football. And clearly never played the game. I think it's funny how you keep coming back to embarrass yourself on egriz. Perhaps the bigger joke on egriz. Keep up the good work.

The great thing about attorneys is they will argue even when they are wrong haha.

Dude.... you clearly don't get it.

Bobby Hauck coached 7 years. Yes, I get that Montana beat other Big Sky teams....in the regular season.

But.

Not a single other Big Sky program, not one, even made it to the semi-finals of the playoffs.

This is like trying to argue that the Southland has been a good conference this past decade due to Sam Houston's success.

One good program in a conference does not mean the conference is good.

Middle School boy,

Hauck's teams beat playoff teams and out of conference teams almost all the time.

09 - SD St, SFA and App St

08 -Texas St, JMU, Weber. Weber was 10-4 with losses to Utah and Hawaii.

07 - Lost to Wofford by 1, bummer.

06 - So Dak St, McNeese and So. Ill.

05 - So Dak St

04 - Maine, Hofstra, Sam Houston St, NW St, New Hampshire

03 - Maine, Sam Houston St

Sure, UM never beat anybody.

Is it true the more cheeks you have the more likely it is you will be among the first to qualify to get the vaccine? How in the..?
Like reverse Darwinism or something
Oops, sorry, wrong thread. I saw the fat kid being stupid again and it made me question it

Did I say he didn’t win some games and win games in the playoffs? I said he’s proven incapable of getting it done on the main stage, where his 0-3 record speaks for itself.

Apparently the expectation by Griz fans is to rack up national championship runner up banners.

Getting back to your Big Sky comment during his tenure. You are full of shit. Go look at the Big Sky’s record in the playoffs during his previous tenure, other than Montana. It is atrocious. In fact, Montana was the only Big Sky program to even make a semi final appearance.

Like I said, Montana back then was like Sam Houston State this last decade. Big Game Bobby racked up a lot of conference wins and championships in a weak Big Sky conference, but couldn’t get the job done against the premiere power FCS programs on the main stage.

Since he got back, the conference has gotten much better top to bottom. Montana has certainly fallen, but EWU, Weber State and Montana State are all significantly better programs than they were previously. Cal Poly is a dark horse with Beau Baldwin. I think Big Game Bobby will struggle to find any sort of success similar to his previous tenure. The Big Sky isn’t ran by a one trick pony anymore.

Lol at your 2007 comment. That was an undefeated Griz team. Massive choke job.

Middle School Boy,

The main stage is much bigger than the national championship game. Most coaches haven't even gotten to that game, let alone 3 times in 7 years. Huge accomplishment bg Hauck.

Hauck beat a number of premier teams, including App St and JMU when they were no. 1 and at their place (as Kem pointed out). Has a MV team ever beat the no. 1 team on the road in the playoffs? Did MV teams ever beat App St in their last 10 years? I can't recall.

The Griz would have won the conference this fall, had it been played, in my view. The Griz were/are strong.

Other than NDSU and App St, which teams have found success like Hauck had last time? That's an incredibly high bar.

Losing to Wofford was unfortunate, but not a chock job. Wofford ran a very good and unique offense, which was hard to defend, and they had a great 4th quarter. Even then, the Griz had a chance to win on a 45 or so yard FG by the best kicker in FCS, who then had a fairly long NFL career.

Not on the main stage no. Bobby Hauck typically shits the bed when it matters the most.

Richmond, James Madison, Villanova and Delaware.....all programs that did what Bobby Hauck couldn’t do and accomplished the ultimate goal.

Like I said.....he’s the Marv Levy of the FCS.

Middle School Boy,

You mean the Marv Levy who's in the Pro Football Hall of Fame and has been for 20 years, 4 years after he retired. Selected in his first year of eligibility. The guy who had the most wins in franchise history. He was a terrific coach and well-liked.

Just another example of how little you know about football.

I’m not saying Bobby Hauck isn’t a decent coach. I’m saying he’s proven that he can’t get it done on the main stage.

People in the know remember Levy for being a great hall of fame coach. Only unknowledgeable people and idiots remember him the way you apparently do.

You don't know what the main stage is.

LMFAO.....

All I have to say is if NDSU had a coach who couldn’t get it done, he wouldn’t be coaching at NDSU if he still wanted to.

If your bar of on the field success at Montana is anything other than a national championship, you are fostering a loser mentality.

0-3 on the main stage.

Did you play on one of those teams who couldn’t get it done?

Since you never played the game and don't understand it, you don't know what the main stage even is. Nor do you know anything about a loser mentality. Only a true loser would call a team that makes it to the national championship, losers.

Nope, didn't play for Griz. Played for a D-I team that won the Lambert Trophy as the best team in the East (Penn St finished 2d that year), and that was ranked 14th in the final polls.

I didn’t call a team finishing second place losers.

I said that you have a loser mentality if you don’t view anything other than a National championship as being the expectation.

He’s been underwhelming to say the least when it comes to actually getting it done.

I’ve never once said the Griz didn’t have great teams. They did. They should have won a few National championships if they had a coach who knew what it took to get over the hump.

He’s never proven that he can and it’s honestly kinda hard to argue that he can at this point.

Middle School Boy,

You never played the game and don't understand. Almost everything you say is stupid.

Sorry, but I don't expect every team I root for to win the national championship. It's not possible; it's not realistic. That's not what sport is all about.

And I certainly don't think they are losers, or a loser team, as you have called them.

Hauck was an outstanding coach in his first stint, and I believe he's better now.

You can keep blowing your hot air, and showing you don't understand the game.

I do understand the game having coached and played it.

Think what you want. Bobby’s 0-3 on the main stage. There is really no excuse for the 2009 team not being able to get it done.

Anybody have any guesses as to who Nicholson's replacement might be?

Danny Kistler Jr. is on Mike Leach's staff down at Miss St. as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. 3 year starter for the griz during his years here and may take an opportunity to come back. Most likely knows Bobby pretty well too.

Your arguments are cute and fun and you are probably right that BisonAlum...whateve,r is a loser for trolling a rival's website. At the end of the day he's right, the NDSU Bison are the most dominant program in our division and it's not close. Coach Hauck hasn't ever won the Chipper, fact, regardless of circumstance. Not saying he won't put Coach Read in the rear view, just saying right now he's O-3. NDSU's last three head coaches have all won won rings that Coach Hauck.

You are a man on here I respect, but when you argue against facts, it doesn't come off well. And no, I never played the game.

I agree with my Canadian brother, quit trying to argue the un-winnable it makes you look silly and illogical. And yeah Marv and Jim Kelly clearly set the bar for never winning the big one. They are both in the hall but that’s not the point, they will forever be remembered for being a dominant team but lost 4 straight Super Bowls end of story.
