Sorry but you haven’t produced any facts.
During Bobby’s first tenure, Montana was 0-3 in the national championship game. No other Big Sky programs made a semi final appearance. Only three playoff games were won by programs other than Montana.
Powerhouse I tell you.
Pretty clear that the Big Sky was the third or fourth best conference in the FCS during those years.
Middle School Boy:
There is much more to coaching than winning 3 national championships. Not one AD in America would agree with you on that.
I produced lots of facts. You produced one.
Winning games, conference and playoff games. Advancing in the playoffs. Recruiting. Evaluation by the AD.
Hauck was asked to come back to coach San Diego St and over a long-term contract in the 7 figures per year. A school like SDS does not hire overrated coaches.
Big Sky was no. 1 or no. 2 in some of those years. Look at the rating services.
Ill St has low low attendance, little game-day at atmosphere, low football budget, doesn't comment much from FBS schools (about half of what UM does), isn't listed in most of the rankings of top programs, is in a weak city, doesn't have a top performance center, has little to no tradition, etc.
Those things are part of top programs.
What rating service Trump?
7 years with Hauck. 0 National Championship wins by Big Sky teams. 0 teams other than Montana even making a Semi-Final appearance. 3 total playoff wins by Big Sky Teams other than Montana.
Meanwhile
CAA/A10- 4 national championship wins. 2 other runner up appearances in the national championship game. 5 different programs making national championship game appearances.
Southern Conference- 3 national championship wins. 2 other programs made semi-final runs, with Furman, in 2005, losing to conference foe and eventual national champion App State by 6 in the semi-finals.
Ya dude....CLEARLY the Big Sky was THE BEST CONFERENCE during that time period lol.
Keep spinning the facts Trump.
