Lets set a new Wa Griz noise record vs EWU

Student section will be there, loud and proud!!!!

There was a long line at the Source this morning for tickets!!!! We're excited about this game!

Go Griz!

My wife leads the charge in the menopause manor Majestic Plaza. People are beginning to see its ok to stand and yell. We are nzone transplants and know our shit. :thumb: My wife gets really frustrated with some people's lack of commitment. Don't piss off mama bear

I actually thought the crowd did a good job when the Griz were on D all day. And the Griz were on D alot. The crowd backed the D all day in my opinion. Deafening all day? No. But when is it ever? That's what we're hoping to change on Saturday :thumb:

I admire the effort, should be fun. Don't forget Eastern played at UW in 2011 in front of 57,000 in 2011, Wazzu in 2012-35,000, OSU this year 42,000, Toledo this year-26,000 and a rowdy Sam Houston Crowd. They will be very used to the crowd noise and actually thrive on it, so yes bring it. I'm guessing when EWU leads 21-0 at the end of the 1st, the noise will die. This should be a great game if both teams play there A games. If either team plays subpar as both have done this year, the other could easily win. Tough one to predict, I still the the Eags ,already played in 3 tough games this year, all better than NAU and CPU. But, the Griz at home win at 88%. EWU has won there 33% of it's games (4 of 12). Also, 2 great QB's in Adams and JJ!! Also, I'll be there.

Hope it's better than the first 3 1/2 quarters last week. I think it took Harris' hit to wake up the crowd.

+1...your all over it!! Nate Harris laying wood was the igniter of the engine. I erroneously dogged on him a few weeks ago. Nice kick to the teeth Nate :) ;) It was nice to see Hermanson sticking his nose in there! I'll be resting my vocals this week too. :egriz:

This will be the first game I've made it to this year. Has the pre-game and in-game experience changed much? From what I'm reading, it doesn't sound like it. Same stale music, same stupid sandwich eating contests.
Should I get my hopes up?

No, the marketing often takes the steam out a revved up crowd...imagine that. :?

Good on you for sticking up for your team , but when EWOO is up 21 zip, dream on Jeanie...the crowd will affect EWU, we will find out how much in a few days.

Ya, I just thru 21-0 out there don't get some posters actually posting on THE GAME, NOT THE SCHOOLS. Both are great football teams as the rankings show, #3 vs #10, and they are from the same conference and live 200 miles apart. Eastern thus far has been a very quick strike offense, not the typical 15 play 7 minute drive type of team. QB Adams is VERY elusive, even if you put a spy on him as OSU found out. HE can be great in passing, or OFF when in the pocket under pressure. IMO, he's at his best outside the pocket, AKA Seahwaks- Wilson, not trying to compare them, just an analogy, but QB Adams is dangerous. That being said, I have the SAME respect for Jordan Johnson, he's equally as elusive, a MAJOR play maker, that's why Griz are 6-1. I have all the respect in the world for UM, this will be a tough game for both teams, a few BIG plays will more than likely make the difference, that's what happened to EWU at Sam Houston. Good luck to both teams. See you at the game with 1000 of my friends, just guessing, LOL!!

UPDATE: The UM has something planned as well! I'll post more info once they release it!

I hope to hell they're not going to hand out noise makers like those stupid plastic sticks, or tiny cowbells. This is Griz Nation. We've never needed stinkin gimmicks to rock the stadium.

I think they should give everyone rally towels... I remember they did that a few years back against Sac State, and it was BA.

With all due respect, there are significant difference between playing in those stadiums and playing at UM's. Those stadiums don't have their seating nearly as close to the field as UM's. Playing against EWU was not a big game for those fans (FBS), and the crowds wouldn't have been into the game as much as a big game and the stadiums were not close to the largest crowds they've had in the past. In addition, those stadiums don't have the NEZ, which contains alot of people who are very loud and into being loud.

Adams has never played in UM's stadium. We'll see if he can hear, and whether he gets rattled.

OSU's seating is fairly far from the field, both on the sidelines and especially in the EZ's. It looks like UM's NEZ seating is much larger too. 42,000 was under capacity (about 45,000 or so).

WSU's stadium has 35,000 and has had over 40,000. It originally had a track in it. The stands are not close to the field. The end zone seating is a long way from the field. There isn't much capacity in the end zones. Nothing like UM's NEZ.

UW's old stadium had a capacity of 72.500 and a record crowd of over 76,000. 57,000 is a small crowd there. UW's old stadium had a track too. Stands were not close to the field.

Toledo's stadium holds 26,000 and has had 37,000. It bows out along the sideline and bench area. There is no seating in one EZ. The other EZ has nothing close to UM's NEZ seating.

SHS's stadium seating is far from the field, and it doesn't have much capacity. It isn't set up to be very loud on the field. It's capacity is 14,000. Here's a link to a stadium photo. Please don't insult us by saying SHS is loud. By the way, I was there for UM's semifinal game in 2011. That was a bigger game than EWU this season. http://www.gobearkats.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=19900&ATCLID=1275265" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

EWU may have played in some bigger stadiums over the years, but that doesn't mean that the crowds were loud, the seating close to the field, or that there was anything like UM's NEZ.

I've been on the field at UM multiple times, and for big games or when the opposing team is near the NEZ early in the game or for an important series, it is deafening and really uncomfortable to be there. There's a difference between crowd noise in the stands and crowd noise on the field. Big stadiums have much more crowd noise in the stands, but most of those fans are far from the field.

I had some gal sitting in a box tell me to sit down. I was in the top row on the east side. I politely thanked her for her request, but no was going to continue to stand and if she couldn't see than see could either stand or move up higher in the box. Again she yelled at me to sit down. Couldn't understand where all the anger was coming from???

I want to see mr Adams live in wagriz....he is the proven qb talent in big sky so far. As per noise we'll have to see, noise versus cp was not over the top until the ot....been to every game in wagriz and can attest that it was instantly headache producing pain. Can our fan base sustain that? Guess we will have to see. May the best team win and no injuries to anyone.....
