If Lamson is so good how come he started 4 games for 4 programs over 4 seasons before 2025? It seems to me that he was never able to shine until he came to Bozeman and 3 previous programs and coaches tried and failed.

Not saying Ay Yat isn’t the better QB, but citing an all conference selection as the qualifying evidence is some dumb reasoning. Those selections often hilight players undeservingly and are inherently political.

I don’t understand this line of thinking? So the QB ends up fitting a system, team and coaching staff and you think that his previous experience with other FBS programs means he isn’t a good QB? Weird argument. What if Ah Yat had started at Syracuse and then moved to Stanford. Different results? Makes no sense.

Lamson fits the system at MSU well but he isn’t going to get any NFL opportunities because he wasn’t successful at multiple other college programs. Ah Yat on the other hand will get an opportunity in the NFL. Based on Ah Yat’s trajectory so far if he transfers to P4 in 2027 he could be a first round pick in the 2028 NFL draft.

The all conference teams are selected by the coaches. You think that the Big Sky coaches are dumb at evaluating the players in their conference compared to the average poster on egriz?

Actually, the best team in the conference often gets too many players. Lamson not being selected as such is further evidence that Ah Yat has a better season and was better. Even with MSU beating the Griz didn’t propel him to the top.

Lamson is getting credit for winning the national championship, not for being good. Ah Yat will have a way better year this year.

It wasn't witty at all. And it had nothing to do with comparing two really good players. It was brought up to compare the kids family in a negative light. You don't think that all the things that has happened to his dad don't hang over him? The rest of the family deserves a little empathy in a situation like this not to be used in a trivial online argument.
Since all conference awards matter now, I’m glad to see you finally think Paul Brott is very good.
