Why all this anger and bitterness towards Haslem and the new woman’s bb coach? What’s done is done and despite all of your animosity, speaking to PR, it’s time to move on and support the program. Women will come and some will stay their full 4 or 5 years and some will leave before their time. The most important thing is they get their degrees. Few if any will make a profession of basketball unless it’s on the coaching side. What Robin accomplished in his years is truly unique. I could count on one hand the number of women coaches who are equal to his success. The important thing to remember is that the only person whose career and income depends on the success is the new head woman’s coach Brian Holsinger. We can hope he has made the right decisions. But it will be 3 to 4 years before we’ll know. For now it’s time to turn off the vitriol comments and support the program.
"I am moving on and won't be supporting the program anymore, but the new coach irked me with his apparently unprecedented actions and I will continue to comment on his actions. In my view, The House That Rob Built has now ended. Too bad, in my view. I agree that treated players fairy and helping them get a good education is very important.Terminating 6 scholarships doesn't fulfill that mission."
The House the Rob Built has NOT "now ended." The House the Rob Built ended when Rob left. Not when two players transferred out after Shannon left. Not when Holsinger was hired. Not when these players were cut. Surely not when Momberg left the program.
Rob won north of 70% of his games, all-time. The record for the last five years is 64-80. So let's leave "delusional" to the political arena.
The House That Rob Built is now a Museum. You can go there and see a film, read clippings, polish trophies, reminisce about the good old days of Lady Griz basketball.
Construction has now begun on a Brand New House. Naming rights are pending. But nobody on this board gives a rat's crap whether PR is there to watch it being built, or not.
I'd prefer not. His presence and poisonous attitude won't stop construction but it'll be an ongoing persistent odor that makes us hold our noses.
In an effort to keep him as far away as possible, I've made my offer. No response.
