Should he ever come to Texas, I would love to have a good old man to man Montana discussion.
I'm in Texas too. Please call me when it happen and I'll gladly help in the "discussion".![]()

This is a lot of hoops to go through to find out that the kangaroo court made many errors in the case which originally convicted JJ, then the appeal was denied via rubber stamp by the President, and subsequently the Commissioner reversed the decision after seeing how JJ was denied due process and also discovering that the Court responsible for JJ's trial was led by the Dean of Students who befriended the alleged victim and promised her justice. There is no conspiracy as Krakauer believers, rather this is a correction of an injustice against an accused UM student. When this all comes out, I believe that the former Dean of Students and former President will have the black eyes.
well said and done in one paragraph,,,this is what happened imo....the U will have some explaining to do when the facts about the investigation are open to the light.....

Yeah, it's a joke. To be fair, it's probably the correct decision based on law. But even the Missoulian story lists Johnson three times by name. I mean, what's the point of redaction now?

Why is it probably the "correct decision based on law"? Do you know the law on this?

Whatever else motivates him, isn't trying to get the facts about the investigation exactly what Krakauer is doing?

About the investigation or about what was involved in the later stages of UM's decision?
Many of the docs in the initial investigation by the dean were made public in a federal court case long ago. The facts of what occurred that night and thereafter are in the transcripts of an almost 3 week trial. Most people believe Krakauer has already gotten ahold of a confidential almost 30 page report done by university system counsel, i.e. the one that apparently outlined all of the mistakes by the dean and UM and which resulted in UM deciding to allow Mr. Doe to continue in school with his scholarship and then resulted in the $245,000 payment to Mr. Doe. Paoli's earlier filing indicated that he believes Krakauer obtained some of the file illegally, and now is just trying to get the court to bless that it is okay for him to have it. Why has Krakauer and his lawyer resisted saying/showing what he already has, and resisted allowing the other side to depose him?
