Both teams really are beyond disgusting ... from what we've seen. That's not as much as we might have, since there have been some way better games on this evening: Maine just losing out to UConn by a last-second FG, App State into OT versus Tennessee (not FCS, but a good game), The Citadel vs Mercer back-and-forth game ... and right now Oregon State is within 1 point playing at Minnesota (probably won't win, but a good game). Did not see even highlights of the North Dakota at Stony Brook game, but that was a tough one too.
 
In non-related football news, Mines is killing #5 Pueblo 36-8 @ the half, in the house that Stitt built.

I think....the jury is still out.....I-da-hoe offensive was terrible......Linehan is not even.....Big Sky quality......
 
Well, that was interesting. I came away thinking that the Cat's were every bit as impressive as the Vandals were unimpressive! Both teams took mediocrity to an art form!

You can give credit if you want but Idaho is way worse than I thought they'd be. By a long shot. I mean maybe worst FBS team in the country. Linehan wouldn't start at carroll or tech....or glacier high school.

Neither team proved anything ... except that they have a long way to go to be considered even mediocre.

the only adjustment......necessary....was Petrino sticking with Linehan......dude wouldn't start on most Pop Warner teams.......

The 1st Garbage Bowl is over! Future Garbage Bowl games between these two schools in the future will surely be just as good.

I think that's fair. The Cat D looked better than it did the past few years. I still don't know that the UI offense was anything more formidable than the Cats will see in BSC play, but, I agree that they made some really good stops. Side note: I think Bruggman looked better than his counterpart. Also, Newell is a tough.
 
Garbage game? I thought the Cats showed a much improved Defense. You can downplay and spin it all you want but the Cats D showed up. Offense needs to clean things up, and special teams is definitely a work in progress. MSU did a bit better than most of you guys were predicting a few days ago....but of course, that's because Idaho would be beat by Rocky not because MSU is improved.... #Can'twaitforStFrancis #WhotheFuc#isStFrancis?

Thank you all for watch the game. As a Cat fan, I saw some major positives, and some major negatives......I will now try to convince my wife that the amount I drank tonight is a coronation of those two thing....

He was bad tonight, after some early nice passes. He completed 63.4% of passes last year.

The Cat D clearly made adjustments fairly early in the game. Giving up only 3 points in the last 3 quarters is very good.

Are you saying you would be a better coach than Petrino?
