Justin Green to Washington State

Yeah, so he doesn’t really have any legitimate coaching experience. That’s Class B football in Montana lmao. Would be a total flyer to hire him as a RB coach.
I suppose you could look at it that way. But Chase Reynolds obviously has a really high football IQ and coaching RBs would be the easiest place to break into coaching. He'd be invaluable as a recruiter. Can you imagine that guy with his background showing up to meet you as a kid when you're deciding where to play?

An analyst role would be a good start.

I dont think he'd take it, but i think the NFL experience would trump whatever coaching magic you're dreaming of
there is just no guarantee playing makes you a good coach. We need a guy that is a good coach now, we don’t need a RB coach getting in the job training. I’d be good with him in an analyst role. Fact is, he won’t make enough coaching at UM to pull him away from what he’s already doing. It’s be a lot less pay and alot more hours and grinding.

I have to laugh you guys go from Griz recruiting sucks and can't recruit Montana kids, to Oh shit the recruiter is leaving the sky is falling!

Justin Greene is a great coach and better person who will be missed. He deserves to move up and we Griz fans are lucky it did not happen 5-10 years ago.
Good luck coach!

For a replacement, do they find 2 coaches, one for RBs and the other to take head recruiting coordinator and build a bigger recruiting staff? Or do they move someone up internally and then just go out to find an rbs coach? Or is that even a financial possibility?

What if Chase came on as recruiting director and we had someone with coaching experience as the running back coach?

That's what I was wondering. Who on the staff now would we promote to Recruiting Coordinator? I'm not sure I'd feel confident about any of them. I think whoever the new RB coach is will also take on the recruiting responsibilities.
