You can see Junior's frustration on that kickoff that was a touchback. He's running out of chances, and he desperately needs something huge.

Man that sucks. I don’t think he ever did that once at UM. I still think he might make it just because nobody else who did returns was worth a shit either and I bet Colt goes to bat for him. That said, he better make sure he never does that again. Even if he gets relegated to the practice squad and gets called up, I think there’s still a little light at the end of the tunnel for him.
Unfortunately I dont think there's anyway he's making the cuts. 
I think he has a shot at the practice squad, mostly because the Niners WR room is still a hospital wing, but there's probably 0 chance he makes the 53 after that muff.
Kyle's special teams grace seemingly only extends to Jake Moody, and it's a fucking travesty that dude still has a job lol

Late round draft picks don't have much leeway. Junior can still make it, he just has to believe that he belongs and play like it and break off a 99 yard touchdown on a punt return.

Levi stadium has bad winds, even with Juniors muff he is still great at catching the ball. I think he has made the team despite with AI says about his chances
I hope you're right. Niners have not announced their 53 man roster yet.
Will be last minute for anybody they want to keep on the practice squad. 4 pm ET tomorrow is the cutoff.

I think Junior is going to the 49ers practice squad if no one else picks him up. Second on the depth chart under kick return and punt return is not enough to make the team while not having another position that the 49ers are utilizing him at. He may get called up from the practice squad to the 53 the first few games while Cowing is injured. Maybe this will give him more opportunities.
Cuts starting. They need to trim 18 more players to get to 53.
