Junior...

Yep. As a Chief fan, I'm glad to see him gone. But they don't win two of their Super Bowls without him so...

And he'll make the niners squad. Dude is uber talented if anyone can harness it.

You would think the Chiefs are run by bubs with how bad they handled this. They went from using a second round pick on a guy to getting a 6th for a 7th.

So how do you classify the Niners for trading anything to the Chiefs? Seems like a good move to get something for a big nothing.

Getting a 6th for Moore and a 7th is just more brilliance from the best GM in football. Moore wasn't going to make the Chiefs 53 (not even close; he's probably the 8th or 9th best WR in camp), and at this point they weren't going to waste a practice squad spot on him. If they had traded him for a box of old Joe Montana jockstraps it would have been a net positive.

Now, we can debate taking him in the second round as that in hindsight was a major booboo. But not all picks work.

From my season-ticket holding friend in Kansas City: My friend played Lightweight Football at Penn. When I met him at law school and learned that he'd played Lightweight, I asked him if he was any good. He said he was an all-American. Chuckled, and said he was all-conference and there was only one conference, so he assumed he must be all-american too. Made sense to me. His uncle was Ed Asner of the Mary Tyler Moore Show. We used to stay at Uncle Ed's house in Hollywood, and he'd take us to set for practices and around LA. Huge fun. I met everyone on the show several times.

"He was clearly done here, although strangely the two biggest plays in his career were in the post season after the 22 season. He made a nice punt return setting up the winning FG against Cincinnati in the AFC championship and caught an easy td in the super bowl, but overall a pass dropping bust."

Don't care much for McGees write up on 49er football. Said signing Robison hurts Juniors chances of making roster

Junior has 1 kick return for 25 yards, and 0 punt returns, towards the end of the first half.

In that same time, Skyy Moore has 1 kick return for 26 yards, and 3 punt returns for 16 yards. Hopefully his fortunes change in the second half, but the 49ers signing Moore hurts Junior's chances of making the team.

Just posted at the same time on the other thread. Needs to have a moment.
