If this was Joe Blow it wouldn't have gone to trial. I think the true rape here is your red turf. That is violent eye rape.

Did it contribute to the Griz blowing a 9 point lead late in the 4th??

Nope. And your point is?

My point was.. what does ugly red turf have to do with anything that we are discussing here?

So let me ask you this... why do you care so much what we Griz fans think?

I could honestly careless.... I jumped in when classless a-holes began dragging a "possible" victim, her roommates, her friends, her family, and MUCH of the Missoula community thu the mud in an effort to demonize her.

JJ could very well be innocent.. or he could very well be guilty but that is a decision for the court system. Adding additional pain and suffering to the "victim" and her friends and family is not necessary for justice to be served.

Showing support for JJ is understandably warranted, but there is a huge difference between showing support and slandering others...

hmmmmm, show support for idiots on egriz or slander spokaneman.........

Geez, it looks like Spokaneman could use a defense fund. Oh the humanity! (as the Hindenburg crashes and burns in the background).

Two thoughts:

1. That blanket is cleaner than the ones you find in any motel room.

2. Being a Gyno probably isn't as good a gig as you imagined at age 14.
for 375 bucks an hour I could probably stand looking at a few nasties
My cousin Brenda called. She wants to know if you'll take a check

Easy there Judge Judy....you're saying you actually heard somebody slander Jane Doe?

Just an observation:

I enjoy reading UMGriz75's posts on the trial. Yes, he has a bias in favor of the defendant in this case, and he readily admits it, but it seems to me to be based on his reading of the evidence and his overall conclusion that Jordan Johnson has been wronged in the "court of public opinion."

I don't always agree with him, but I get where he's coming from and I appreciate his explanations.

What's disappointing to me in this thread are the crude, vulgar, and/or snarky posts about Gwen Florio or women in general. I realize some people are just trying to be witty, or get a laugh out of their buddies, but honestly, how do you think those posts come across to objective, disinterested people who are reading this forum? I don't think they reflect well on Jordan Johnson, UM athletics, or the male half of the human race. Overall, I think they just reinforce the worst stereotypes that some people try to perpetuate about athletes, men or both.

So I'm just asking people to think before they post. Look, I'm a dumbass and I go for the cheap laughs, but I realize there's a line I can't cross. I'm just asking people to look for that line. It's in everbody's best interests.
I disagree. Florio crossed that line a long time ago. She gets a bigger forum than anyone on egriz does.
This is a sports message board, and opinions are really the only thing that matters. She is a reporter for a newspaper, not a columnist or editorialist. If she comes on here and expresses her views, that is fine, this is certainly the place for it. If she writes an editorial, that would be fine too, because that is where opinions are supposed to be expressed. But front page top of the fold? No. She deserves everything that comes her way. If I want to call her bigfoot, I will. She is not even in the same discussion as the TV reporters covering this. So you ask us to think before we post? I did, and decided everytime this woman disparages an innocent kid in the paper, blatantly or inblatantly, I will disparage her.

Because red turf is real rape. This is just a he said, she said, but everyone agrees on red turf, except eagle fans. #dumbass

Out of curiousity, does this desire to defend alleged rape victims from demonization on the internet also extend to people who are allegedly raped by men who aren't starting QBs of teams that are rivals to your Eagles?

Since you seem to be criticizing Griz fans for only caring about this case because it involves a Griz QB, I'd be interested to see examples of other cases where you've felt compelled to rush to the defense of women who were being "demonized" on the internet.

Or, are you - much like the Griz fans that you're so quick to criticize - really only interested in this case because it involves a Griz football star?

:thumb: Wow...how long have you been holding that one back. Admit it, you just wet yourself a little.

I did and I will tell you why... My wife and I were eating in a sports bar interstingly enough called JJ's on Spokane's North Side watching the game. Not being a fan of either, I did not have a horse in the race.

With UM down 10-17 in the 3rd, they went on their run and scored 2 td's and a field goal to go up by 9. With every 1st down, completion, and score for the griz, there was ONE DRUNK ASSHOLE who would get and run around the establishment whooping and hollering. Mind you just one so he was making quit an ass of himself in an otherwise EWU crowd.

Well when the Griz folded in the last 3 min I cannot tell you how fun it was to watch the crowd brow beat this fool and watch him slink out after the game... Again, I did not have a horse in the race, so this was what I remembered the most of that game.. That and the ugly red turf!!

Listen - if I was going to "criticize" fans of a football team, I would pick one that was better than 3-5 last year...

Having 2 daughters of my own, I was honestly pissed off at the crude, degrading and demeaning manner at which your most prevalent members dismissed and trashed women in general without knowing any of the actual facts...

Show me another site where women are treated as badly as on this site, and I will defend them.. but I will imagine that you will be unsuccessful in finding a site such as this... Which you should all be proud of... I Guess.... :thumb:

I am also the father of 2 daughters, both teenagers and both Griz fans. They both are following this as much as I am, and agree the woman is lying. I have no doubt that if one of them said no and the guy as much as whispered in her ear afterward that he would get a knee to the balls, a scream, and mister "gun nut" would come in and end the situation one way or the other. Don't bring your stupid I am a father arguments, because a lot of us are fathers, and our daughters would not act like this woman did. Well, maybe TNTs.

Having daughters doesn't exactly make you an expert on anything in particular (I know because I have one too) but please, oh please, enlighten us on the facts that you have that we don't? Or maybe we have the facts and you just don't know it? You do realize that this is an anonymous forum where in most cases you have no idea who you are talking to or what they know? I agree that trashing women generally is crass but get over it. They are pretty good at defending themselves -- if they even care about be trashed on AN ANONYMOUS FORUM. It seems to me that you need to take up a cause in a way that might actually do some good. I'm sure you could find a women's support group to attend (seriously).

You ever heard of internet porn sites, now there is a group of women who could use an advocate like you.

While we are on the rape subject, what ever happened to your receiver who was booted from the team last fall for raping a co-ed in the dorm....think she was a volleyball player. Perhaps you didn't follow it closely as he wasn't a star player from a "rival" (ewu fan term, not mine) team.

I was originally going to ask if you lived in a cave, but since you posted on this site, your cave has a Internet and power connection. Soooo- I was wondering if you might rethink your verbiage about finding another site on the net where women are treated as badly. Kind of being a drama queen aren't we? I think you could find plenty of sites where women were being treated "badly".
