Seems like a real Gateway Project to the PAC.

Build it, then we'll be respectful. We'll have nothing to be jealous of, however. It won't replace the MECCA of fcs.Jealousy is the sincerest form of flattery!

The original was drawn up on a soggy bar napkin.Renderings are great. Wonder how many end up in the dumpster in a given year when projects go defunct?
We have a nice stadium and great fan support.Jealousy is the sincerest form of flattery!

…and your stadium is sold out.We have a nice stadium and great fan support.
We're not jealous of empty promises and stadium renderings.
Come talk to us when the stadium is built and you're officially in the FBS.
Hey, man, I’ve drawn some amazing renderings on Microsoft Paint for WaGriz expansions. Granted, they aren’t as detailed as the Bozeman ones with the George Sr.-looking guy in the Turkish bath staring at the lady with both of his hands submerged, but they’re pretty great. 120k capacity with a waterpark and a zoo. Not a regular zoo; we’re gonna specialize in ocelots. I drew it, so it must happen. We have a nice stadium and great fan support.

Ah FCS. And that’s where you’ll remain. Because your leaders have no vision about moving up! You need to have a plan of action and there has been nothing emanating from University Hall resembling a plan. I guess you all are content being a big fish in a small pond.Build it, then we'll be respectful. We'll have nothing to be jealous of, however. It won't replace the MECCA of fcs.
Until then, color is doubtful.
I have a sneaking suspicion you'll be right along side us.Ah FCS. And that’s where you’ll remain. Because your leaders have no vision about moving up! This plan has been years in the making at Sac State. We are now finally revealing those plans to the public because we have leaders with a vision (and connections) to make this a reality!
You have zero idea what UM leaders vision is.Ah FCS. And that’s where you’ll remain. Because your leaders have no vision about moving up! 1. Where the current stadium is, on-campus. The current stadium is going to be razed at the end of this season.Kadeezy I have 2 questions for you on the stadium:
1. Where is it going? Is it on campus? And if so, where?
2. Where is the money coming from to build this so quickly? Looks like a several hundred million dollar project. Are they using institutional funds?
Well, apparently it doesn't include the FBS...which is a shame considering the MW just got rejected by a Sun Belt program. MW may just need warm bodies at some point. You have zero idea what UM leaders vision is.
Sacramento has until this point shown 0 interest in the Hornets,
He and I have that in common...You have zero idea what UM leaders vision is.
Jesus Christ, do we now have two little brothers now?Back that "0" interest up with fact, not meaningless words. Because you're flat wrong.
In case you haven't noticed, the Hornets football program has been consistently been drawing 12-15K for home games the past 5 years. When they face UC Davis, it's sometimes over 20K or close to a sell out (good weather permitting). And that's in an erector set stadium with no restrooms --- a high school experience.
If this program gets into FBS, specifically the PAC-12, and is able to host much more recognizable and prestigious college programs while playing in a first class facility -- you're completely delusional if you believe the support won't be there.
The support in the football program has been steadily growing since 2019 when they finally hired a capable coach and then followed that up by hiring a capable and forward thinking AD. Now they also have a capable and forward thinking President -- hence things are really starting to happen. It's not all a coincidence.
Sac State has long been a sleeping giant wrt having the potential to field good D1 FBS level programs. It resides in a talent-rich area with a metro population of nearly 2.5M. It also boasts a top 20 media market.
The nearest D1 FBS programs are between 85 and 120 miles away (Cal-Berkeley, Stanford, SJ State, Nevada-Reno). And none of those programs are world-beaters.
SAC supported the KINGS for decades, setting sell-out records even when the team was REALLY bad. The Sac Republic soccer team has a nice following and the A's games will sell-out for the 3-4 years at minimum that they will be in town.
If Sac State promotes to the top level of the college sports landscape and programs recognizable to the average fans starts showing up on-campus (or Golden 1 Center) --- people will come, Ray. People will most definitely come.
It is VERY important to him to tell some Griz fans on a UM message board how impressive Sacramento State is. It is almost like he has nobody locally to talk about with, because they have a metro area of 2.5 million people and only 10-15k regularly go to games.Jesus Christ, do we now have two little brothers now?
It doesn't include a move that they see as unsustainable financially. This isn't about not having a vision, it is about how to afford that vision.Well, apparently it doesn't include the FBS...which is a shame considering the MW just got rejected by a Sun Belt program. MW may just need warm bodies at some point.
He was the only one posting like he did.He and I have that in common...
