Is the 2023 Football Season Make-Or-Break For Bobby???

Give it a few years???? So now Bobby needs almost a decade to get his pieces in place?! This is both absurd and sad.

Point blank, no coach not named Jesus H. Hauck would be given this kind of leash.
For consistently fielding a winning team that fill the stadium. Got it.

What does filling the stadium have to do with winning the conference, and going deep in the playoffs? You sound like you work for Bodnar? Argh! was right about you.

They mean providing entertainment for a lot of fans and the school, and helping fund the athletic program.

What does your constant complaining, with no reasonable solutions, have to do with winning the conference and advancing in the playoffs. Firing the coaches would lead to fewer conference championships and not advancing in the playoffs. Have you ever considered supporting the team?

Looks like acknowledgment to me, just not the responses you hoped.

Deflecting and constantly blaming trolls is the opposite of acknowledgement.

The truth is that there is plenty of grumbling among boosters. Last year's results are not going to get it done.

No one is happy about how last year went with all the hoopla heading into the season, not even all these people you are calling out. Most rational people are focusing on the big picture, and believe that last year was a blip. Does that make this year make or break, maybe, with lower expectations, if they have a similar season to the back-to-back 10 win years, is he in jeopardy? I think no. If they win 8 regular season games, one of which is the Cats, and get into the playoffs, is he in jeopardy? I again think no. There are so many outcomes, and I think most of them don't put his job in jeopardy.

Sorry not sorry that some of us actually want to compete for National Championships. Bobby told us with his own mouth that he was bringing UM back to "dominance". By that metric, he has failed.

I'm glad you're content with simply being above average. I'm not.

I've been a season ticketholder for 36 minutes, and I like where we are as a program. I want to see better, but I'm still supporting the team. Of course, I expect to see my offense installed immediately, but I can work with the staff if they have questions along the way. Side note: I seriously just sent a work call to voicemail just now because I'm a season ticketholder, and season ticketholders answer to no one.

Talked yesterday with a starting player from the 1995 National Championship team, who attended the team reunion. He said that there was much discussion among the players from that team about Hauck, and the direction of our program. And, the consensus, according to him, was that Hauck's personality is not playing well with kids today. He belittles players and plays the tough-guy role, and they don't respond to that stuff these days. He will never change, because that is his personality. Also, the aged coaching staff is not relating to 18-20 year-old kids, and it is effecting recruiting.
These are some of the very points I have been making about our coaching staff. We need a totally new direction, with creative, energetic younger coaches, who understand football in 2023, instead of trying to coach football the way it was 20 years ago.

Interesting post but I never understand the tough guy references on this site when it comes to Bobby. His brother Tim, absolutely... but Bobby?

At least they actually played the game, unlike you. And their opinions carry much more weight than a casual fan like you.

Oh, Bobby tries to put-forth this tough guy image. Kind of hilarious really. I'm sure his players laugh about it in private.

Dude. I’m a pedestrian fan, not a casual fan. Get it right.

Whichever. All i know is that your posts demonstrate that you know little about football, or evaluating a football head coach.

Obviously the tough-guy attitude and not relating to players is killing the Griz, look how many entered the portal! Vigen on the other hand has it figured out with his calm, cool, collective attitude that resonates with so many, they're trying to push players to the portal to open up spots/scholarships cuz no one wants to leave

I agree to an extent what you're saying about kids today, but I'm going to look at the numbers and assume these kids love being here and love the coaching staff. Is it the younger assistant coaches? Who knows.......I also have personally talked with guys from the '95 AND '01 championship teams, and they tend to disagree. Crazy world we live in that we can talk to certain people and post about their comments to fit a narrative. Keep on keepin' on....Dilly Dilly!

I am printing this quote and will show it to Bobby next time he is in town. I will let you know how long he laughs and how many times he snorts.
