LOL, Vigen handed talent from Choach, Hauck just getting to the same type of talent level. Either way, congrats to the Cats, fuck off to tools like you. Must really suck to know that Montana is the only FCS team that kicked the Cats ass so far this season.

Sadly truth hurts many griz faithful on here (Kool-aid drinking fans), and they stoop to using excuses to try and rationalize it all but many die hard fans do see it as it really is and get hammered for exposing the truth objectively and realistically and get labeled bad fans or negative fans as a defense mechanism by the ones that think if you they say it is true enough it will be true. It creates an board where if you don't follow along with the narrative you are attacked until you just move on from here. Many long time great posters have not been coming back and posting and have gone to private messaging to speak the truth free of the "bully" tactics since they are grown adults. It made me nauseated watching the cat game, but will admit they were better prepared, outcoached and out played the Kats. I see their trajectory under Vigen to be one that will cause more disappointments for me in years to come as a life long Griz. Without an incredible portal shopping trip the Griz will likely be no match next year.

You are such a fucking debbie downer. You keep trying to portray your thoughts as "being real" but if true, your entire existence is nothing but doom and gloom based on your posts.

I’m curious on your reasoning. Are you foreseeing a talent drop-off? I drink the maroon kool-aid as much as the next guys but try to keep a rational thought as best I can, and I really don’t see the Griz being worse next year in my early analysis.

Being a fan through the Don Read era and transitioning to the Bobby Hauck era is difficult for me. I like being simplistic here as it is necessary but its brawn vs brains. I have always felt that way. Hauck is a very good coach just not good enough.

By the most recent data point, MSU was no match for Montana 11/19; it's college football, making predictions like that is very foolish. Kudos to MSU for getting the job done in TX. The bracket continues to unfold in their favor, which is what is required to go deep. The Griz were not so lucky. More work to be done before we cede anything to MSU. The Griz will be reloaded and ready in 2022.

Some see the glass as half empty. Some see it as half full. Us “kool-aid drinking fans” see it as refillable. We handed your new favorite team a brutal ass-kicking just 3 weeks ago and you’re already worried about “years to come”?

Oh, and stating facts <> “making excuses”. But thanks for playing.

An opinion not based on fact. Facts can be stubborn things and get in the way of faulty judgements.

Here are some facts:

Read at UM, 85-36 (.702), BSC 54-22 (.711), 1 BSC title, 3 semis, 1 NC game

Hauck at UM, 108-29 (.788), BSC 63-14 (.818), 7 BSC titles, 4 semis, 3 NC games

If all you like is offense, Read is your guy. If you like balanced, more consistent football, it's clearly Hauck. I loved Read, but I love good defense and STs, too.

Very well stated sir, you are one of the majority that feels this way.

When is the good defense going to show up? do we have to wait more than 15 years for it?

I love the Griz fan excuses; it was the refs! It was the injuries!, etc. In reality this team had a good defense, good special teams, and a embarrassingly bad offense. That’s the facts, virtually no running game and poor offensive line play, amazing they made it as far as they did.

Bobby should spend some time developing a running game instead of stroking himself of about the punt and kick teams!
What's your excuse for the Bobcats getting totally shit on by the Griz??

It’s the only game that matters. The Griz Super Bowl.

You cannot be serious Speculator H. Really ? Really? I know you are blindly-pushing your evil agenda every day, but you must be severely-mentally-challenged if you did not or could not recognize several consecutive multi-quarter periods where the Griz defense threw shutouts or only occasionally gave up 3 points ? ? ?
No - - - Bobby is not on the hot seat. He will return for the 2022 season and beyond.

Allowing 15.3 points per game when you're playing EWU twice and JMU is good defense. 73 yards/game rushing is good defense. MSU no TD until 48 secs left in the game is good defense. You'd be wise to pick a narrative that you have a chance of making a point. This one didn't make it.

Did they do that against JMU? EWU? Good defenses do not give up 600 yards a game. Sorry but just because some idiot on here says Montana has a good defense doesn't make it true. Plus its the BSC that was are "dominating" so the stats are skewed by 10 really bad teams. You keep looking at the snake oil salesmen and the rational posters will keep watching us be utterly out coached out gunned and dominated every time we play anyone with a winning record. Even you posters that constantly attack others if they don't have you opinion have to be embarrassed watching our Griz get their ass handed to them when they play good teams. Do you ever stop and ask why when the playoffs come around your always watching the same teams actually dominate with proven good defense? Montana has no clue what a good defense is and it shows

The defense gave up 600 yards to EWU and 485 to JMU. Beating the kitties, who were playing a guy seeing ghosts at QB, was by far the best win of the season. Washington was terrible and couldn’t even make a bowl.

Against EWU, after a 34-7 Montana run in the middle of the game (good defense), UM played cover and allowed stuff in front of them and won the game handily. Good smart defense against the best offense in FCS. The MSU guy was seeing ghosts because of the defense that was hitting him in the mouth.

JMU is good. They may beat NDSU in Fargo.
