If I were NDSU...

NDSU is on top of the FCS and rightly so. No problems with that. But fans of NDSU do not puff out your chest too much.
Montana does have a tradition of bringing down powerhouse dynasties, such as Marshall and most recently App State.
App State had won three straight FCS championships (one more than NDSU) and they were well on their way to a fourth, except App State with Armanti Edwards (was a senior at that time) ran into Montana and lost their last game. Since then they have pushed to go to the FBS level but have not been the intense powerhouse that they once were.
Seems vaguely familiar since the NDSU QB is a senior now. Could this be deja-vu all over again?
Just remember NDSU fans that this is not the first rodeo that Montana has been through. Through the years Montana has been in epic battles with Marshall (I believe Montana ended Randy Moss's career), Eastern Illinois (ended Tony Romo's career), App State (ended Armanti Edward's career), etc.
The way you worded that is somewhat misleading. Richmond was the one that ended App State's streak to keep them from their 4th straight FCS championship (in 2008). Montana did end Armanti Edwards' career though, but that was the following year (2009)

My bad on the Marshall game.
Not living in the past, nope.
Just stating that Montana is not a run of the mill team that will fall apart in the playoffs if the opposing team gets ahead or if the opposing team is a dynasty in the making.
Not living in the past but pointing out that tradition comes into play when you are dealing with a team like Montana.
Yes tradition does not win games, but tradition enters the mind of many players that "we have been here before and we know what to do to get the win"
Wouldn't this apply more to this year's NDSU team than this year's Griz team?

Again. Not trying to be a dick.

Some people don't have to try, they just are.

The 2013 Grizz will beat the 2013 Bison if the 2013 Grizz team causes turnovers and gets a big lead early. They will not win the game by talking about how great Washington Grizzly stadium is compared to the Fargodome, how much North Dakota sucks, how great Montana's tradition is compared to other teams, how Montana has beat good teams before etc etc.

I don't thing the Griz are saying this...eGriz maybe, but not the players. I'm sure they are working on winning on the 7th.

Griz fans, just stop responding to this guy.

AG1 is embarrassed for you and this epic facepalm you are providing the FCS world. He and I both wish you would show some assemblance of firing at least one synapse in your brain and just stop with this charade. It is very unbecoming and classless.

AG1 also wishes some Griz fans and all of Bison Nation a very Happy Thanksgiving.
Thus must b AG1's alter ego. Thank u for trying to talk some sense into Griz Nation but as u can c and if u know AG1, it only takes one instigator to fire us up and push us over the edge. I also c AG1 has been hanging out at bisonville giving them a small dose of himself. Pls tell him to keep up the good work :D

Shut it bison. You're not representing the fans or the team. Remember 2003 NDSU vs GRIZ? The underdog won so it happens. I believe we are the better team but that's why they play the game.

How true. IMO I don't think anyone would not be an underdog going against the Bison this year. They have earned that respect and home field advantage....

This entire thread is a sad case study for why internet trolling actually works.

Folks, take a chill pill. Go back and look at this guy’s posts since he signed onto e-griz.

Here is a hint. He is winning.

Did that many hours ago. Obvious Cat fan is obvious.

And NDSU will not win this year just because they won two Natty's in the past. Just leave.

True but with 18 starters back from last year's team and most of the starters from the 2011 team, I would say they will. Even is they don't, I do not think the Grizz is the team to trip them up.

Actually, I can agree with you, but I really don't think the team is concerned with the Fargodome, or how much North Dakota sucks, how great Montana's tradition is compared to other teams, how Montana has beat good teams before etc etc. In fact, I am sure that the Bison don't need your help either. So much is demonstrated on the field that no amount of chatter on a board can ever influence, we are all just wasting pixels here.

I am just looking forward to a good game. I think we can all agree that you are proud of your team, although I am not clear if you are anything more than a fan. You aren't a coach or a player are you? But we will put you down as for the Bison and let's move on from there.

Well this Grizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz fan is looking forward to our game on December 7th in the not very loud, not very cold WA-GRIZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ stadium. And if we take care of business with the roosters or the kittys from the southland; I will then look forward to a game with the buffalo.

Man, this thread really got colorful after I posted a mini-breakdown of the game on page 3.

Both teams have games before this but there is probably a 99% chance of this one happening.

It will be a fun one to be at.

I met a group of Bison faithful in Vegas a couple weeks back. They were having their own version of the "hangover". GREAT GUYS. Nothing but genuine respect for the Griz in everyway.

They absolutely dispise the Cats. I thought we had some natural venom toward the blue & gold but these dudes were foaming at the mouth talking about MSU ducking them.

As far as this match up is concerned...the intelligent Griz fan knows its ONE GAME @ a time folks. If its alright with you lets get a win on December 7th first! Happy Turkey Day.
