Idaho should be winning, but their coach blew it with dumb and needless onside kick

And then the rb fumbles on screen when he runs into his Ol. 2 easy and unnecessary TD's for Cats.

Mellott running a lot and very effectively. His passing and the Cat passing game are better than last year, but they can't win against good teams with Mellott's and the team's passing game. And their big receiver drops an easy TD pass. Jones is fine, but not like the other 2 backs.

Judged by the first half, all 3 Dakota schools would be winning this game.

On the other hand, the Cats have played fine or better. I assume they will win.

Mellott 7-13 for 124, and 1 TD and 1 (bad) pick.

Mellott 10-124. He's very good and dangerous. The risk is injury the more he runs.

Idaho qb is 10-14 for 159. They need to throw more. Cat's pass D and secondary is weak.

Why doesn't Idaho throw more. First sack by Cats. Maybe because Cats are coming after the pass almost every play.
 
The Dakota teams won’t let Mellott or Jones runs unfettered. The Butte kid will have to pass. He was intercepted once and should have been twice. I believe the MVFC teams will dominate BSC teams. MSU is far too one dimensional. SDSU is the complete package. They should take the whole thing. Now, Eck made an absolute terrible decision with that onside kick. Talk about turning the momentum of the game to MSU. I simply don’t understand the gamble when you are tied at 10 and playing pretty solid. Just deflated his team.
 
A snowball has turned into an avalanche for Idaho. The onside was really bad and not at all the right situation for that. There’s a time and a place for that, but not when it’s tied at 10 and you’ve taken the air out of the stadium. Even then they were still ok and then the horrendously bad fumble was the end of the game. Can’t get down multiple scores against these guys.

Idaho found some stuff that worked early but it’s a matter of execution. Their defense has already been on the field 32 minutes and we haven’t even started the 4th quarter.
 
Onside kicks only work every time against the special teams' mastermind. Eck must have been confused and thought he was playing MONTANA.

Since us non-corporate lawyers can’t parse your elite legal writing, replete with ifs and buts and maybes, answer this brain-buster: if the Cats beat a Dakota team, will you bring up how the Griz beat the Bizon last year? Will you also bring up how the Griz beat them 10 years ago? If the Cats lose, which is certainly possible, can I go back to saying “my favorite team won last year,” as you so commonly return to as a safe space after the last Brawl?
