I SUPPORT STITT

Without taking sides on Stitt, I believe the season suffered a major setback when Phillips went down. I like Jensen and believe he's talented and giving it his all, but I think the Griz beat both EWU and Weber with Phillips. Again, my view is that Phillips was on his way to a great season. This isn't to say that the Griz couldn't have beaten EWU and Weber anyway.

This. Fans have no patience and few really understand the game. Lots of young kids out there and a frosb QB. He made some mistake and it is understandable. Turnovers were the difference. Stitt is trying to build something and it will take time. The BSC is more
Balanced and a few years from now the Griz could be very good. I am just not sure BS will be the coach. I certainly hope he is. I have seen signs of improvement. The kids fought hard today and did not give up.

Agreed, glad the team did not just roll over, they tried hard and they just could not catch a break. This game loss comes simply due to turnovers. Sure was not from a lack of heart.

ME too. Getting rid of Stitt will put Montana back for years. I'll probably be taking a dirt nap before we're good again if we let him go.

The Griz were playing for next season the second Reese Phillips went down. I am actually impressed with how well they have done with so many young players. That was a fun 2nd half to watch today. I get that fans are frustrated but they are going to have to be patient.

Tired of reading the BS about firing our coach! I hope the coaches don't read this trash but if they do I hope they will see by this topic that not all of us fly off the handle after every let down.

Coach Stitt is an innovator, that is why we brought him here. We knew that his approach was much different from the style we were playing. It is going to take some TIME to get the pieces in place for his system but once he does WATCH OUT!

You guys are going to lose him before we get the chance to reap the benefits of what he is building!
YOU SUPPORT LOSING! Really, you don't care about wins and loses? College football is ALL about coaching. If you have difficulty understanding this take a look at the FBS. This is an unbuttoned program that is quite often ill prepared. They prove it on the field time and time again. I'm really quite tired of breaking down the same shortcomings year after year. They have the same deficiencies as last year. Demand more! It's o.k. you will be ok in the morning. I'll be in zoo town the next few weeks. Now, I'll just carry a barf bag into the stadium... :egriz:

Are you talking about the Cats?

I saw players smiling and laughing on the sideline while down 34–6! That is very disturbing. I know others must have noticed. I have never seen a team getting their asses kicked so handily look so jovial.

Not really up to you. If Stitt doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone. I don't agree with that decision, but thats where the Griz are at nowadays.

I noticed only 1. No. 5 after his critical fumble.

Who else?

I am in. Just need a few more beers and tomorrow will be okay. I think we got something great building. As long as we don't lose to a D2 school at our house.

No I don't support losing. Last time we suffered a setback I posted on egriz for the first time in support of Stitt. You may have forgot but we rattled off 3 straight WINS. We can't throw away every bit of progress every time someone on here gets a little disappointed.

I keep reading about Hauck and all this craziness. Hauck was a good coach but he took over a team that only lost 3 games. He was able to keep the momentum going but so has Stitt. Stitt took over a 5 loss team and has maintained that pace, losing 5 games in each of his first two seasons. Some may look at this as a negative but when you consider that he is completely revamping the style of play it is actually pretty impressive.

Since 2011 NDSU has lost 7 games combined, one of those 7 was to a Stitt led Griz team. That showed us the possibility this team has if we have the patience to let Stitt build it his way.

I saw several. Louie mcgee being most notable. Here is my take they were not looking like losers because they were feeling good about their chances of a comeback. As far as the fumble on the return that guy looked like a nervious l can't believe I did that laugh not a it's funny laugh.

Support Stitt, my ass! When he starts supporting his players I might think about but pretty sure I won't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is not Montana! =Colorado school of mines, maybe. You can't fly like an eagle when led by a turkie

who pays the tab at the end of the evening ?...in the first two or three possessions, we went three and out....regardless of whether one supports stitt or not, that sets a TONE for the first half.....this plays into short fields for our opponent etc....ifs, ands, buts, come along, we were flat, fumbles, targeting, interceptions......the bar tender hands the bill to stitt and it was an expensive evening.

I agree. Our first possession of the game was about as bad as it gets. I actually expected that we would come out with some novel plays, perhaps by using the bye week to pick up on some of Weber's tendencies and then exploiting them. Instead, 3 vanilla runs and a bad punt. It appeared the coaching staff went to one to many house parties during the week.

THIS is what has some of the fans upset, much more than the turnovers..

It’s a big game, they couldn’t even get up for it?

I agree, Jensen gets to improve and the future is bright but this was a huge set back for this year.

This is too logical and obvious for some who'd rather run around willy-nilly in panic mode. If we let Stitt go this year I think we may well end up regretting it. If there's a flaw in his system it's that it requirea pretty damned good QB, but to his credit it looks like he actually knows how to pick them. This year in a cruel twist of fate, one Stitt QB went down to injury, the other is a talented but still error-prone freshman, and now it looks like he may be out for a really pivotal game. I love winning, but sometimes you do have to look at circumstances. Some believe that we can bring back Bobby and he can will us to victory, but I believe there is a more even level of talent in the Big Sky than during Bobby's stint.

Stitt's offense can produce some eye-popping numbers when he's got his players, and that may be the recruiting edge we need going forward, along with Wa-Griz and the Champions Center :thumb:

That bothered me too, but I also liked the spirit they showed in the second half. They got back in the game, they didn't give up, they made it interesting until the last drive failed. So maybe it's good that they didn't get too down on themselves...
