tnt is placing himself in a no lose situation. If JJ is found guilty, he'll applaud. If it's a hung jury, he'll say he was right. If he's acquitted, he'll say it's only because he's a star football player.

I will agree with you on that tnt. I probably would have rested after Mr. Johnson testified. Hard to say what the two sides are trying to demonstrate with these last two experts...

Probably none of the above.......

The only real agenda most of you have is defending the program, and the fired coach and AD. under some misconception that an acquital (or stong majority in a hung Jury) will will make everything right The DOJ, DOE and NCAA will all go away the reputation of the school, program and individuals involved will all be restored. And if that fails it can all be blamed on the girl.

you've got a point with that last sentence. this board has a way of finding someone to blame for everything. even in the beau donaldson case. engstrom, williams, florio, the accuser, dennison...i'm sure there's others, but i can't think of more right now. oh yeah, the missoula cops, the n.c.a.a., the d.o.j., the d.o.e., several other u.m. administrators.

That's complete BS, tnt.

The fact that you're stating anyone wants an acquittal for the sake of the program is disgusting and a flat-out lie. Every poster on this board has said they want justice, and if JJ was guilty, most of us probably would go out to get the rope. But when it became clear he wasn't, we're damn sure going to defend him against those who view him as guilty simply because they view him as an "alcohol fueled predator" without the slightest evidence to suggest such a thing.

And what's more, we don't all disagree with the firings of Pflu and ODay. I think they were unfortunate, but I don't necessarily think they were wrong. Many bad things did happen under their watch. But this trial does not have ANY bearing on that, and for you to suggest such a thing is disgraceful.

This is a stretch, even for you.

Honest question (which I am sure you will avoid).

What are you going to do when this is all over? Your purpose on this board is down to the last couple days, one way or another. What will fill the void?

yep, she probably doesn't even go to the cops if all these so called friends don't practically talk her into it. it was a total waste of everyone's time.

Donaldson admitted it. Who put the blame on someone else like you're suggesting? Certainly not me.

Spring ball is not too far away, there are at least a few posters on this board who know something about football hopefully they will have something to say. I was here long before this mess and will be for a long while after.

nice try...Milt didn't blame the environment as an excuse to what Donaldson did, he blamed the environment for the harshness of the sentence. But don't let that little difference get in your way.

You could not be more wrong. Show me one person that doesn't think JJ belongs in jail if he actually did rape this girl. I'd sure say he does. Problem is there is no evidence at all that he did and if there is a hung jury the only possible explanation is someone there had a preconceived account of guilt because there is no way in hell you could convict with what the state put forth. Beyond a reasonable doubt? Not a chance.

I don't think I have ever doubted any of that including a new rope. How many would care if there wasn't ramifications beyond guilt or innocence or if he was a minor character. Heck even Paoli has tried to tie the firings into it. I wouldn't be so sure about preconcieved account of guilt either. I would be VERY surpised if it were a quick deliberation. But when its over for me it will be over. Will it be over here? And what do you expect the real reaction will be in the unlikley event he is not acquited outright? Will everyone climb on board.
