Monte is not Growler. He hasn't mentioned Obama once. In any event, when Growler sticks to just football, his posts are good IMO. I am sorry if that goes against the prevailing opinion.

Do all of you note how quick Brint is on here trying to convince all of you that I am this growler guy, who must be the most hated poster ever. Can't you see that his efforts are meant to cover up the fact that he edited a post of mine to "prove" that I am this poster in disguise.

I would hope that most of you are smarter than this. I am not obsessed with Brint. I have never even mentioned him in any of my posts until the last couple of days, when he started his crusade against me. Check my posting history. I have nothing against Brint, but he suddenly feels like I am a threat to his board kingdom, which is obviously the pinnacle of his life. Any insult to the widespread adulation he enjoys is met with venom, and lies. Just understand that the post he is trying to use saying that I admitted to being that other poster has been edited by him. I never wrote it. Period! He is lying to you, and I have exposed him. And now he scrambles, just like all liars do, to cover his *ss. The guy many of you think is so wonderful, is a liar. End of story.

I want to thank the posters in this thread who have stated that I post some good football info. I realize many of my posts are not popular with the legion of hacks on here, who do not like anyone pissing in their perpetual love-fest held in the maroon colored good-fan pond. I try to be real, and call it like I see it, and like most of my Griz buddies see it.

Finally, as I have said before, this board does NOT represent the opinions of the majority of Griz fans. As you can see, there are 10-20 posters on here who dominate the board, and hold court on anyone who contradicts their rosy good-fan persona. Me and my Griz friends laugh at how jaded and homer these guys are. But don't DARE to challenge them on here, or they will come after you en mass, accusing you of everything but treason. Some will even lie and change posts to sway opinion against them. There! I had my say! Carry on with the flaming!

Mtgrizrule, I'm not disputing anything any of the coaches in Northeast Montana are saying. But I will say this, who the heck from that area should Delaney have inked that he didn't in his three years as head coach. I get to see Glendive play in Havre every other year, and that football program is at rock bottom right now. I also see Sidney and Miles City every other year, and have seen Miles City play four times in the last two years. Again, I haven't seen one kid on either of those teams that is a legit FCS recruit. It's just my opinion, but there isn't one football player from Sidney, Miles City or Glendive that the Griz missed out on in the last three seasons. I'm not saying the Griz shouldn't have a strong presence in the area. I sure hope they are looking at two kids in particular from Glasgow. But just because coaches say the Griz or Cats aren't recruiting their kids doesn't mean those kids should be being recruited.

Sometimes, I think we're wayyyyyyy over analyzing this whole "Montana Boy" thing, and I say that as a Montana boy of 40 years. If they're legitimately good enough go get em'! But there shouldn't be a neccessary quota on Montana-born kids playing for the Grizzlies, or the Bobcats for that matter.

You don't get it, do you? You can't be a Johnny-come-lately and start romancing these Eastern coaches only when they have a kid you want to recruit. They see right through that weak-assed B.S. You have build long-lasting relationships over time, and eventually you will reap the rewards of getting a great kid and MSU NOT GETTING THAT KID!

But, if Montana is going to return to dominating the in-state recruiting war with the Cats, these things should be instituted by our new staff:

1) The head coach should have regular phone conversations with each of the 13 AA head coaches, and their key assistants.
2) All "A" high school head coaches should be phoned regularly by Griz assistant coaches, who are assigned high school's throughout the state.
3) Head coaches from the "AA', and "A" level (and some key "B' level schools) should be given two free tickets to any Griz game they desire.
4) Re-instate summer camps in a manner which makes these high school coaches want to attend in Missoula, rather than in Bozeman.
5) Hire as many head high school coaches as possible for summer camps.
6) Institute Don Read's "tour of Montana towns" to have a physical presence throughout the state, including Eastern Montana, which we are neglecting currently.

There are many more things, but I just wanted to give you some beef.

I have never posted on that site. I only visited it a couple of times, and saw that it was lame, with no football talk, and never went back. But this board is nothing but pissing contests, with very little football talk. I wish there was a site where we could cull the idiots who only want to banter B.S. and only have football people there.

First off, I really don't care if you really are Growler or not. It is irrelevant. IMO, all posters should be heard on this board no matter what their opinions are as long as there are no personal attacks, threats etc. Since I have backed up you and your opinions on many occasions, I feel that I can tell you this without you taking umbrage. Your feud with Brint has become TIRED. I understand the years of bad blood, but at some point, both of you are just going to have to move on and find a way to coexsist.Interestingly, you have been pretty mellow this time around and for that I'll give you credit. I, for one, appreciate your football acumen. I appreciate Brint's role on this board too. I enjoy the PRs, AG1s, Cat Fans and Eastern Fans. All of the personalities make egriz a pretty combustible but entertaing place. So just stay cool and try not to get banned again. Egriz is a much better placed when all the crazies participate.

There's the first thing I may have EVER agreed on with Monte/Growler/AZ/Wolfman....THIS BOARD DOES NOT REPRESENT the feelings of ALL of Griz Nation!! He is so soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo right. Because, whether Monte realizes it or not, this board is way more dominated by negativity and arm chair QB's who know more than the guys who are paid by the U, than by so-called sugarcoacters. So he's totally right, on a post to post basis, I don't think this board is an accurate refelction of the feelings of Griz Nation.

Griz Nation is MOSTLY composed of unconditional, diehard, Griz football fans, who love the PROGRAM EVERY YEAR NO MATTER WHAT. Not a specific coach, not a specific team, not a specific record. THE MAJORITY of Griz Nation LOVES Montana Grizzly football. And that's why, year after year, they sell out Wash-Griz, that's why, year after year the money from merchandising rises, that's why year after year, the fan base grows. Are there Egrizzers that fit that mold? Sure as heck are. I would consider myself one of em. Doesn't mean my mood towards Griz football is rose-colored 365 days a year. I do question things, I do have opinions and I voice them, I do argue with the way things are done. I'm not blindly following the Griz. But, I do LOVE and WILL follow the Griz at 0-11 or 15-0, and that will never change, and I choose to believe that LOVE is how the MAJORITY OF Griz Nation feels. That LOVE OF GRIZ FOOTBALL, is the foundation that this fan base, and actually any fan base is built on. It has nothing to do with rose-colored glasses or sugar-coating. IT'S CALLED BEING A FAN. It's not about bad fan vs good fan, it's about JUST BEING A FAN.

I'm sorry Monte, but if the Majority of Griz Nation felt the way you do, or the way your 10-20 friends feel, we wouldn't have the fan base that we do. It just would not be possible for that many people to hate Montana, but still have the fan base that we have, and I'm sorry, but that fact is not debatable. When I see Big Sky Conference football games start to fall short of 20,000 attendance at Wash-Griz, not 22,000, not 24,000 even, but 20,000, when I see season ticket sales dip below 15,000 for a season, when it's announced that the Champions Center is being scrapped because lack of financial support, when the Griz have to go back to Russell Athletic Uniforms instead of Nike, when the school has to plant grass because they can't afford the next field turf update, then, maybe then, I will believe that Griz Nation feels the way about Montana that you and your 10-20 friends do. I'm sorry, but 10-20 guys does NOT GRIZ NATION Make. No matter how much those 10-20 donate, no matter how many NFL scouts you know, and no matter how many statues you've given to UM. I'm sorry, but Griz Nation is much bigger than that.
