MISSOULA - It looks like the freezing cold weather is testing University of Montana football fans.
UM Associate Athletic Director Chuck Maes told us late Friday morning that they've sold about 34 tickets more over the last few days - bringing their total sales to 16,034.
He added the school expects somewhere between 16,000 and 17,000 fans to turn out for Saturday afternoon's FCS playoff game against Coastal Carolina. The UM website lists the seating capacity of Washington-Grizzly at 25,217.
Maes says that both teams are busy preparing for the cold. "We're into survival mode here, so we have to make sure everyone stays safe."
The temp at the 12:05 p.m. kickoff is expected to hover around zero, with the Hellgate Canyon winds making it feel like between -15 and -30.
