How is this team 7-2??

I would say this team is 7-2 because of Turn Over Margin. One of you Stat Guys can look it up. The Griz were plus 3 today against Sac State. I'll bet it's significant for the year so far.

It is. And it was equally significant LAST year, when we were negative 11 or 16 or something like that.

This team is 7-2 because they have made many more positive plays (not talked about much on message boards) than negative plays (talked about ad nauseum on message boards).

But how is that possible when every part of the team sucks, including the pregame? 8-)

No shit...old, tired....they need to mix it up a little...change up the pre-game AND post game rituals... :| :|

People can finally say the Griz have beat a team with a winning record...Portland St has a 2 game winning streak that has pushed them to 5-4.

By comparison, what does MSU have? NAU and the D-II? I see that Monmouth is 4-5. Just curious, but don't have time to look now.

Simple answer. Ellis Henderson

Most players hold up four fingers at the end of the third quarter. This guys holds up five at the end of the fourth quarter!

  So true mtgriz, he is truly "Mr. OT" It takes a special WR to take over games from that position and Ellis Henderson is starting to show signs of being a Jimmy Farris/Marc Mariani/Etu Molden type clutch receiver. It sees that Ellis is starting to find his groove in the return game as well and once he starts breaking some TD returns the Mariani comparisons will really start to roll in. #7 has won two games for us this season and almost brought us back against EWU. I would say EH is the biggest reason we are 7-2.

Don't forget the pregame, the pregame sucks too.
And Peter Christian urging us to sing dopey songs, which is nearly as lame as the Wave. It's all been downhill since the Wave.

Well said, the wave is so 1980's. :shit:

Simple. We are better than 7 of those teams and not as good as 2 of them. I think we actually have the talent to be better than those other two teams, but right now we just flat out aren't "good" enough to win those games. I think we are good enough to win our next two, but probably not good enough to win our final game. Improvement in all areas will be needed before I think we will be able to beat a very good team. That means making the playoffs at 9-3 and then possibly getting a first round win. That will be about it unless improvements are made. I keep hoping every game that we begin to see these improvements being made but so far, it just hasn't happened. By improvements I mean schemes and fundamentals. You know, coaching.

Really? You do realize that Northern Colorado was very nearly 'good enough' to beat our final oppenent, right? You Chicken Littles really crack me up.

Better question - How is this team not 9-0?

We have the players, coaching has not put them in positions to win (against good teams).

So, you're putting "the offensive line sucking", "the defense sucking", etc., etc., etc., all on the coaches?
