I heard about a 1yr extension, Mariner, not 4 yrs. I believe four years would require a new contract, not an extension.

All the articles are mentioning a 4 year extention.

It will be interesting to see when, and how, more information comes out. The Memorandum of Agreement is spare. Holsinger has a good attorney. Any investigation by UM should be over and there was an agreement on the statement to be released. I suspect any additional information will come from players (after they cease playing for LG) or coaches (after they leave UM).

What do you make of Brian Holsinger's midseason resignation as Montana's women's basketball coach?

John Letasky: I'm not sure, but the one thing I do know is the UM brass needs to take their time and choose wisely in this coaching search.

Victor Flores: I wish we'd get even a hint about why he left. To echo Bill Speltz, fans deserve answers.

Bria Manning: I don't know, but for a coach to go on personal-time leave midseason then resign and sell his home, it must have been bad. Hope all is well with his family.

Briar Napier: I'm left with many more questions than answers. Mix in the fact that MSU is killing the Lady Griz in in-state recruiting, and a once-proud program is in a complete mess right now.

I don't expect UM to say much, if anything. Saying virtually anything could cause problems for UM. Sure, things will leak from players and others close to the program, and already has.
