I don’t doubt anything regarding Troy Anderson. The kid is likely the best athlete on the team and might also be the smartest kid in the team.

He can't be too smart, cause he signed to play at MSU
Seeing how he is majoring in Mechanical Engineering MSU was a very smart choice.

Just checked and the MSU mechanical engineering program is ranked #89 out of 108 schools. Like I said, he must not be very smart

Where does the UM mechanical engineering program rank?

Yes 6,000 more students who don’t waist there time going to the
Litter box for football games. Very smart kids.

Yah, I guess the 6,000 plus students more in enrollment over UM are all not too smart either. According to you, if they were smart they would have went to UM, a school shrinking into oblivion.

Thanks for spelling it out for him.

I was told a few weeks ago that while the Missoulian was busy reporting on a player fight here in Missoula that the Bozeman Chronicle was silent about two separate cat fights and another DUI this year. I trust my source, but has anybody else heard this?

If that was true I am sure each incident would have been on the front page of the Chronicle. Rumor season continues!

I'd be pretty surprised to see Andersen at QB, but like others have said, I wouldn't be surprised either.

I'm worried that Andersen is never going to reach his potential anywhere because no one can figure out where to put him.

This. Pick a position and let him learn it.

Not a word yet, but that doesn't mean anything. I will see what I can find out.

The Cats have a passing QB that can take Murray's spot if needed. I can't see them moving Troy to QB. Maybe use him for a trick play or something is about all. Murray will start unless he gets hurt.

I’d be pretty surprised to see more cat trolls posting on egriz, but like others have said, I wouldn’t be surprised either

It has been several weeks so I might have mixed the two events up as well. It was either two separate cat fights and another DUI this year or a cat fight and two separate DUIs this year.

Cat Fights are one thing (not always reported) but DUI are arrests, and are way harder to hide. I would be surprised if 1-2 of them happened, that no-one has heard or said anything yet.

He reminds me of a Matt Sczur from Villinova. I think you will see him used in a number of ways and maybe throwing some passes on trick plays at RB or even moving under center at QB for certain plays. The kid is a talent for sure. Also, a talent academically as he never earned less than an A in any subject throughout his whole scholastic experience.

I was in Bozeman last week saw kid icoached who was a freshmen at MSU and who knows their all American freshman well, said that since spring ball, where he played only lb, he has been doing nothing but throwing and taking snaps and trying to bulk down a little. If this is true and they move Murray, who threw for 9 yds on 2 completions last year against PSU that was in the entire game, to rb or slot then they become a more balanced formibible offense. Murray beat the griz with only 98 yds passing, he is fast fast and can run.

Kid had been playing qb since 6th grade, was Class A poy two years in a row won 2 state chippers in football and one in B.B. and they recruit3d him for defense and this is after Murray’s freshman year. On the second day of early ball last year his position coach tells choate the kid is too talented to not use on offense so he gets switched to rb having never played it and gains 39 yrds on 9 carries in his first college game against Wasu, for the season he had 530 yrs on only 90 carries. Vim and I had this arguement on the badlands bowl thread, dove deep was a good back and forth, he basically told me I didnt know what I was talking about, I do,though. Lol. The best part of this is that the only coach over there who saw the obvious was not hc or the oc but rather their lb coach TG. That’s a true story. Lol.

My opinion would not change if they move Troy to QB. I would still completely disagree with it and would have no problem calling out the MSU coaches. I also would gladly eat crow if it works.

This is kinda my thoughts as well, kid could be NFL talent at Linebacker....not the case at QB. Kudos to him if hes fine with the move, but damn dude, I hope someone is looking out for the kids best interest over there.

You mean your local paper doesnt want to completely destroy your university and major economic driver in the community like the football program????? This is bullshit!

Is it the coach's responsibility to play him where he may best succeed in the NFL, or to play him where he best helps the team win games NOW?
