Hauck contract

Zero chance Bobby could ever take his coaching style/schtick into a locker room full of professionals. He gets to use it on college players but it would never work on grown ass men. His tough-guy routine would last about 27 seconds. It didn't go well for Frank Kush when he tried it and he was a much better football coach.
Your narrative that Bobby could have an NFL job that pays five times what he is currently making but just isn't interested is even more laughable. Time to let it go.

I am 100% correct. Bobby doesn’t use a tough-guy routine with the team. Most players like him. You are an idiot.

Nope, no chance of any bad record causing him not to get a chance to sign a good renewal. Who's to say UM isn't trying to get him to sign a contract now?

Thank you for not answering the question, counselor.

If the Griz finished 2-9 this year, you think Bobby gets a new contract? How about 3-8? New contract?

I don’t answer dumb questions. Bobby has various opportunities. Ask the athletic department.

He's just trolling from his mothers basement. But your description is accurate.

Gutless.

According to Hauck himself who is to say he doesn't have a contract on his desk waiting to sign? Who says there isn't a contract his agent is negotiating? He also said his first stint he always had a one year contract so why is this year that much different as far as a resign year.

Did you just guess, or do you know that you're right?

Well I'm just quoting Hauck from a recent interview!

i am using his team's performance in the big sky as my measuring point, as it should be. also, you are speaking for someone else when you claim that the person who i responded to isn't trying to keep the narrative to their liking. otherwise, it is all just opinion, and your opinion is prolifically pro-hauck, rain or shine. you are more logical when it comes to other subjects.

So, without its starting qb, UM lost 2 close games to SS and Weber. One seeded team and 1 that people believe was rated 9th. Lost to a semifinal team, plus a playoff team, Idaho. Those were the conference losses. Lost to a final team on the road. NDSU has only lost 1 home playoff game, ever.

UM ranked nos. 6 and 6 in the nation post-season in 2020 and 2021, and fell to 14th last season (due only to not having Johnson for the SS and Weber games). Only 4 FCS teams have had better average post-season rankings in the past 3 years. Besides those 4 teams, which FCS teams have been better than UM in the period of the last 3 years?

Won playoff games each of last 3 years.

if you are going to continually use the "it was because the qb was injured" excuse for hauck, you gotta use it for the guy you didn't like - he had it way worse. but you won't, and neither will most of the other die-hard hauck supporters.

So there’s NO record or performance that would give Haslam, supporters and “important” people pause as to Hauck’s future with the organization? None whatsoever? He has a blank check? An endless contract?

you do know you are pretty much arguing against a brick wall, so to speak? i know, i know, i do it, too, but...

Which coach lost the very good starting qb for two tough road games, and teams who were seeded and ranked no. 9 in seeding; and whose qb had a torn PCL for the rest of the season; and whose team didn't have a backup that played very well. Stitt's backup came in a played relatively well, if not very well. Jensen threw at 60%, had the same passing efficiency as Phillips and threw 20 TD passes. He had 6 rushing TD's too. Compare that to Brown and the other guy. Still took him to FBS. No one had it way worse than last year, in my view.

Actually a football and intellectual giant. Ha.

If you're interested in actually hearing what Hauck has to say, it's the first few minutes of his portion of the latest Inside the Den podcast. That he devoted any time to it is curious, but there appears to be interest in the specifics he felt needed addressing.

oh c'mon greenie, you were a big phillips fan, and said many times he was way better than the other qbs, which he was - just look at the washington game. the griz were overmatched, etc, but his skill and leadership were obvious. you emphasized this yourself. jensen wasn't in the ballpark compared to phillips, and you know it. now you are minimizing his loss? right...

otherwise, i hope you enjoyed vietnam. it's like visiting china twenty years ago - the infrastructure and economy isn't 'there' yet, but the people are open, friendly, and optimistic (for the most part, people are people, after all...)

i didn't like stitt. i also don't like intellectual laziness.

Seems to me it's very unlikely anybody other than Bobby Hauck will be the coach of the Griz for the foreseeable future, unless Bobby Hauck wants to do something else. It's simply really; record season ticket sales shows the level of interest among the the 'regular fans' (for lack of a better way to put it) and record QB Club participation and financial donation shows the level of interest and support of the 'donor group' (again for lack of a better way to put it). I presume the really big donors, the folks who pay for large things, are generally happy. And that is how it works.

Could there be some set of circumstances that get Bobby fired? I suppose there is, but what would get him fired is a decline in interest and revenue flow from the fans, and as long as those remain strong it's to imagine Bobbly getting pushed out the door.

Somewhat true, but my point was that Jensen performed way better than the Griz backups last year. There wasn't as big of drop off with Jensen. I thought Brown would do better last season.

Went to Saigon twice, and Mekong Delta. Great tour guide. Queenie. Went to Thailand and Cambodia too. Stayed in all very fancy hotels, where my friend had booked. Executive floor. Cars. Had visa problem coming into Saigon and got hung up for several hours in middle of night, as Korean Air helped me get an emergency visa. Typo in my middle name. Great trip. Much easier to navigate than Beijing. My Seattle nephew brought his Taiwanese girlfriend to a family wedding in MT last weekend. I sat next to her at dinner. A Bellevue high cheerleader several years ago and very pretty. Knew Peter N. and John K. from Bellevue high. Was conceived in Taiwan, but born in US. I thought of you. I told her you hated China.

Self inflicted, to be sure. But hey, let's give him a pass, right?

I am 100% correct. Bobby doesn’t use a tough-guy routine with the team. Most players like him. You are an idiot.

Let me get this straight...you're saying Bobby is turning down $2 million per year opportunities to coach in the NFL and I'm the idiot?

Where did I say $2 million? Yes, he has. Yes, you are an idiot.
