So. Much. Rational. Posting. Brain. Can't. Comprehend.

Welp....that didnt last long.

Yeah but look where it turned. 90% of the posts are rational and then boom a couple of sour grape posts combined with a chiding Cat fan, and three non-rational people take over the thread via Internet slap fight. It's the same thing every time (roles obviously reverse pending on chat board). Seriously, girls girls you're both the fairest in the land. Now, back to the rational posting?

JP, I do not think I said anything negative about Schreibeis with the exception of pointing out the conference had suspended him. I simply did not see him playing at the level of the Buchanan award candidates but I must have been wrong. JP, most of my posts are really intended just to get under your skin and get a hissing fit from you. You have taken every kind of bait I have cast your way. Have a great holiday and I may come trolling for you againover MSEuliss in 2013.
Go Griz and STC!

Good one, again. I am honored that you invited me to dance in your arena. I've read your posts for many years and I know how badly your butt must hurt from these bad seasons juxtaposed with better MSU seasons, so joke away. The jokes may be truly on you. Cheers.

Later JP and please don't drink and drive on New Year's Eve. That is usually reserved for alpha and his minions. I think I will spend the evening tying ugly flies to cast your way in 2013.

Good get for us but remember right now he is a "prospect". The Griz and Cats have
both thought at one time or another that they've hit the mother lode with a "verbal"
commit that didn't pan out for one reason or another. I'm not prejudging the kid, he
sounds good and I liked the way he presents himself but man, there are a ton of cards
to play yet. As of right now nothings on paper and if Gunnar was from out of state this
would be a much shorter thread. True?

Benedict Arnold. I have no problem with him "de-committing", but to do it so he can head to a school's arch rival? Lame. I hope he fumbles every time he touches the ball. Man these sour grapes are tasty!
Oh, come on! I wish he were still going to UM, but he's not -- and I wish him well wherever he may go. Let's not be such an a** regarding the decision of an 18-year-old.

Quite frankly I think the Thompson kid out of CMR had a better senior season than Brekke. Brekke had a great junior year. I can't figure out what the fuss is all about. He's a good back but not someone to get all riled up about. I do argue that this isn't about football unless people think the Exercise Science Program is better at msu than UofM.

The big negative is the bad press UofM will get.

Why? What's the problem? I'm pretty sure he could care less regarding what I say about him so why should I wish him well? As a die-hard Griz fan, he's useless to me now so I don't care how or what he does. I might have wished him well if he chose some other school besides msuseless, but he's a cat now so.......

Honestly, he probably committed in the summer after seeing the stadium and the success UM had the previous season. I'm assuming he got wide eyes about UM and then the honeymoon wore off. After taking a visit to Bozeman State and talking to players on both sides he probably just went with the hot team at the moment, Bozeman. I'm also going to assume he got a chance to compare facilities while on his visit to Bozeman, and Bozeman's are 1000x better. UM's locker room is on a D-III level and I'm being generous. The weight room is worse than the general student Rec center and akin to lifting in a garage. The academic center has 10 computers total to accommodate every athlete at UM. The training room has about 10 benches, again, to accommodate every athlete at UM. The only advantage UM has over Bozeman in terms of facilities is the stadium, and that is a lot closer than it used to be. Also, it is used around 9 times a year. That's it. I played for UM and took a visit to Bozeman, I know these things. So the real question is, how could you blame Brekke? Committing to UM would be solely based on tradition or playing time, and neither help the terrible facilities. Good luck to him. I hate Bozeman with a passion but he made the right choice.

JP, MSEuliss is just a nickname. I know full well where Gunnar is from but even a die hard bobcat fan such as yourself would have to agree that MSEuliss football would be a mid conference team without the Texas gunslingers Ash has brought in. The bigger issue is why a bobcat fan such as yourself is so sensitive about a blogger using MSEuliss. Could it be a reality issue on your part?
And where would the Griz be without countless recruits from Western Washington and California? Everybody knows that if you tried to play with all Montana kids you would get your a--es handed to you in this conference. Our pipeline is just a different geography than yours.

That's some fine work there, Cringer.

Thanks...I think? Honestly, I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not, but my comment was probably (okay, was certainly) a touch on the snarky side.

I am excited for what lies ahead for Grizzly football, and basketball, and volleyball, and track, and soccer, and golf, and rodeo, and cross country and everything else. For every weak Grizzly there is the silent majority who will push us well into the future.

Can somebody say Anderson-Biermann-Carpenter-Colter(I will fundraise for Curt's namesake)-Dickinson-Harris-Hauck-Hilliard-(Tru)Johnson-Krystkowiak-Mariani-McSurdy-Schillinger-Selvig-Tinkle-UM ALMUNI-Wilson Athletic Center? My god the ABCCDHHHJKMMSSTUW Athletic Center will be gorgeous! Terrible name, but gorgeous!

Happy New Year All!

comparing rushing yards for one year isn't exactly apples to apples.

How many carries did each have?
What was the yards per carry?
How did the CHS O-Line compare to the CMR O-Line?
What were their stats as juniors?
What are their receiving stats?

I don't know where to find this info, but it would sure help get a true apples to apples comparison of who is the dynamic back.

Additionally, was Horner offered a full scholarship from both UM and MSU? If not, I'd assume the two coaching staffs know better than anyone here on this board.
