GRIZ/WEBER

Once again, poor leadership from Tinks.

At this level, free throw shooting is nothing more than mental. Why would Tinks say, "There is nothing more we can do as coaches?" Has he placed any of the blame on himself or his staff? Ever?? Why not say, "We did a poor job of preparing the team this week". Instead he always points fingers publicly. The time to do that is during practice, yell, scream, and demand. But after the game is cowardly...

He never says the right thing and obviously does not motivate his players. They always fade during the most critical times, breakdown mentally, or lack focus.

Tinks never had it as a player and neither will his team as a coach. Toughen up Griz, from the top down. To bad it is not in his character. How long will we suffer with this leadership?

Is it better to be on the positive or negative side of that Heathcoat math thing?

Positive, I think. It's the opposite of golf. Of course, I like the system that subtracts the # of L's from the # of W's and the winner is the team with the highest absolute value remaining. It gives really good teams AND really bad teams a chance to win something.

Oh, positive? That's too bad for the Griz......I guess this means they are bad? -1

That may be, Lou. But just look at our hair!

That's cute....but why are they wearing their jerseys at practice? I mean I assume that is practice judging from the stands.

Ouch. Seriously, though, I want to know what the average student atendance is so far, and how close they are to the goal of getting the sideline back. Anyone know? Den?

Don't tell me that is an actual game. Are you serious? There is like 5 people in the crowd.

I count 47 including the two Adams Center staffpeople in the tunnel. It gets a little fuzzy up in the box, and I can;t see through Hasquet, so there may have been more.

I guess you're right. That's pretty good for a D-I bball program.

Touche, Lou, touche. The griz have to find a way to get people to come to the game. Swilly and Den assured me that this year's effort is the most extensive with regard to getting students to attend, and that the things people tried when I was there were nothing compared to this year. I guess there is one thing in common though: the outcome. We would always have great attendance for the first game or so, but then, students began to realize the games were on weeknights, more than once a week, they couldn't drink or smoke pot there, and they stopped showing up.

Holy crap. Do you really wonder why people don't want you to post on this board, Lou? Read your posts and honestly tell me that you aren't looking for a reaction.

It's simple. If you don't have any value to add to a thread, then don't post in it. It only requires minimal common sense.

If you two would do a little research on the subject, you would know that the attendance was 3,520 at the Weber game. A little down for Montana's standards, and relatively solid for Big Sky standards.

The program at Montana is not Top 25. It's not a major conference. It's lower level mid-major.

I see that North Carolina gets 22,000 people for their home games. That's an awful lot more than the lousy 6,500 that Gonzaga gets at their place. You'd think you would expect more out of a top tier D-I program. Guess not.

Have a little perspective for crying out loud. This board does not need your cheapshots on a regular basis.

If I was a Gonzaga fan, Montana wouldn't even be on my radar. I wouldn't read their board (I wouldn't even know such a board existed) and I definitely wouldn't post on it. But hey, that's just me.

Just playing defense? BS! Go play somewhere else! :naughty:

Some of you guys are saying that the Giz suck, and all is lost becuase the coaching is horrible, and they'll never be a good team with this coach, etc.

I hardly see why I cannot poke fun at the attendance and Hasquet's hair. I am not saying anything close to as negative as other grizfans are. So, no sir, you are the one who is speaking BS!

If making fun of the Griz and joining in with the other troll is the best you can offer as "defense", then I think it is pretty obvious who is spewing the BS. There is a big difference between being disappointed with the team's performance and expressing it and simply ridiculing the program and it's players. I suspect there are few on this board (with the exception of lou) who will disagree with me.

Yeah, I don't disagree at all. I also did nothing of the sort (ridicule players/program). At least, not nearly as much as saying "this team sucks" is considered ridiculous. Listen, I tried to get him to stop by attempting to change the subject and suggesting that his posts were below the belt. We all know that saying "STFU Lou" doesn't really work, so I tried something else.

With that said, I think you overreacted, and I did not deserve to be accused of what I was accused of.

I bet you wouldn't poke fun to Hasquet's face.
