I have never been to Cheney so I can't comment but I have been to Missoula a handful of times for the football games. I don't think Missoula is disgusting and scary. It's just little different. I mean the Walmart was a complete Freak Show and the inordinate amount of Meth/Suicide Prevention billboards was a bit alarming, but other than that, it seemed like an ok place. The people seemed cool but not a lot of diversity though.....

The fact that people think you need some type of proof in claiming Cheney is worthless besides spending more than 5 minutes in that pimple dumpster fire that somehow manages to convince young adults to pay decent money for a middle school education blows my mind more than the girls on that campus who need dough for their next crystal batch.

Wow, egriz posters are the most insecure adolescents I have ever seen. Take this from an alum from both EWU and UM, the education received from both schools is a good education. So, mellow out egriz and just take the football beatings like real men. :thumb:

I appreciate the shit-talk, but I don't think you'll find any Eagles fans telling you that Cheney is a cooler place than Missoula (at least none who have been in Missoula). Missoula is a beautiful, cool little college town...and college towns have an awesomeness that is hard to beat. Cheney is a small town with a university in it. It's nice, but is only beginning to get that college-town vibe that Missoula and some of my other favorite college towns have in spades (did my undergrad in Stillwater, Oklahoma...same sweet vibe). Cheney's getting much better as EWU becomes much more of a residential school, but it'll never be Missoula because of the proximity to Spokane. So this is sort of a one-sided argument.

On the other hand, sheep are much safer in Cheney than Missoula, our meth is of much higher quality, and we can smoke weed without breaking the law. And you'll be reminded of the other plus we have on the football field this Saturday.
 
EWU is an afterthought. The bottom line is that 48 non-Griz fans in Washington might care whether EWU wins or loses this game. Shitty school, shitty stadium, shitty town, shitty support. The fact that so many EWU fans feel it necessary to post on eGriz only makes it more apparent. It doesn't matter if UM loses a football game. EWU will still be what it is, and everyone knows it.

Even if those things were true (they aren't) we will still have a better football team than the grizz. Not sure why that is so hard to get through the heads of fizz fans.

I was talking to someone from Tennessee today. I told him that I was watching the team I played for play a playoff game this weekend. He asked me what team I played for. When I said EWU, he said "Oh they have the red turf, right?" Then he asked if I was on the team that won the Chipper. He asked who we were playing, I told him the university of montana. He said he wasn't familiar and asked if they were any good.

I've had many conversations very similar to this.
