Growler, how many years are you going back saying the Griz have been mediocre? 1995 or 2001? Alpha says the Griz have been bad since the last trophy was hoisted. I'm curious if that's what you think too? If so, that's a pretty easy position to take. National title OR mediocrity. LOL. Sorry but the reality is, there's plenty of gray area. Did you think the Griz were mediocre in 2000 when they lost to Georgia Southern? or in 1996 when they absolutely got BLASTED by Marshall in the chipper? By your rationale, those teams were sure as hell mediocre.
And also, I think the point of the fans who fire back at you, at least on this topic is, does it really matter if a Griz fan accepts mediocrity? Do you honestly think a Griz' fans' laid back attitude toward this season will make Brady Gustafson throw more interceptions, or cause Derek Crittendon to miss a tackle? Or cause Sully to miss a 45-yard FG try? Do you really think one fan's lack of fire about whether the Griz go 11-0 or 8-3 will be the difference on how many yards the offense averages per game, or how many times NDSU scores next Saturday?
