just picked up 2 in Section I - row 18. Have always sat in the temporary bleachers at the other end so this will definitely be a different vantage point. might actually be able to see the scoreboard
Section I on my confirmation shows up as "End Zone", so perhaps it will be more of the same.

looking at the seating chart it shows it as the 'west endzone'...... thought the temps were in the east endzone..... :?

The word going around here is that the temporary bleachers in the south end zone have been reserved for EWU students for overflow as they're expecting over 4,000 students. That would probably mean that the north end zone and visitor section would be up for the Griz fans.

That's a good amount of students, I bet we could triple that if we didn't charge anything for the tickets.

Considering that UM has about 4,000 more students enrolled, you're probably right. It's all relative.

I was referring to the fact that you give your tickets away for free and we charge our kids.

No, we don't.

No, we don't.
So we were selling student season tickets for 50 bucks but they are free. Guess our math classes aren't real good...

I think students can pick up tickets before each game for free. They were offered the option to simply buy season tickets for $50. The advantage to this is that the student wouldn't have to get up and stand in line to get a ticket.

but I was just told we don't charge students anything...I'm so confused (not really)

So you're saying the university charges activity or athletic fees and then charges students admission to sporting events? How do they get away with that?

Well, I would imagine it doesn't go over real well. I went to school in Bozo for an Ag degree and threw a fit over fees every year.

It's optional. If you want to get all of your tickets at once, and not have to wait in line for them, you can pay 50 bucks up front. If not, you can go down to the ticket office each week and get one for free.

Pretty obvious you went to Moo U. ;)

Pretty obvious...that we charge for tickets...I realize it is optional, but that is a charge. I see it as very black and white, do we have an option to pay for tickets for students? Yes or No, I have never been able to see maybe or kind of.

Of course when the Griz cat game is at home there are no problems getting tickets. TYhe sooner you get Homecoming and Griz cat tix, the sooner you can scalp them. No reason for the AD NOT to get a piece of the action.....

You were trying to argue that we could get 3x EWU's supposed 4,000 student attendence if we didn't charge for tickets. Well, in the years when students didn't even have the option of paying (2007-2011) we didn't get anywhere near 12,000, which would be almost the entire student body.

Ok, I'll swallow it and say I'm not going to win this one. Sorry...just irritated that we have to pay so much for the tickets and they have made an extra area for overflow students who get in for free. We have a set amount I wonder what kind of a quantity we would get if we just had the kids show an id at the gate to get in and had it as standing room only.

First off, it's our stadium so why would anyone give visiting teams fans more of an opportunity to watch the game?

Secondly, students may not pay for a ticket to a game, but do pay per quarter into the athletic fund and pay a hell of a lot more for tuition than your paying for your game ticket, so it's not exactly "free" so please quit complaining.

Well it's been almost 8 hours and the game isn't sold out. So much for the double-secret-probation email allowing ewu fans a 24 hour advance window to purchase on account of the 2010 game selling out in 28 minutes.
