Griz-EWU Tickets going on sale in 10min

by mcg
If the Griz game in Cheney sells out in 23 minutes, they probably aren't charging enough. It's hard to argue with an AD working to balance his budget and charging what the market will bear.

Well it's been almost 8 hours and the game isn't sold out. So much for the double-secret-probation email allowing ewu fans a 24 hour advance window to purchase on account of the 2010 game selling out in 28 minutes.

Guess the market price is about right then ...

Nope, much like the Facebook IPO, tickets were priced too high, and there are a ton left.

That's a good amount of students, I bet we could triple that if we didn't charge anything for the tickets.

Considering that UM has about 4,000 more students enrolled, you're probably right. It's all relative.

EWU had over 12,000 students last fall and enrollment will be higher this fall when school starts. Does UM have 16,000 students? I though it was somewhere around 13-14k.

Just got four in section P, row 1. Those that have been there, is this good, or should I have tried to go a little higher?

Row 1 isn't bad at all. The bleachers on the visitors side sit a little bit off the ground and I'm sure that everyone will be standing most, if not all, of the game so you should be fine. It will put you really close to the players and the field (besides the damn track thats in between).

Looking forward to seeing the Griz come to town, always makes for a great game. Griz fans make the atmosphere at the EWU game so much better, both teams should be ranked in the top 15, probably top 10 at the time so it should be a great game.

As far as ticket prices, I think everyone agrees that the price increase sucks, but it is a simple matter of supply and demand, its also a big financial boost for EWU and the surrounding area every year.

According to numerous sources, UM's 2011 numbers were 15,600 (probably more this year) but close enough.

Yes, but I think that also includes the 2-year college that's affiliated with UM. I think the 4-year campus has roughly 14,000. About 12,000 undergrad and 2,000 grad.

I think (but could be wrong) COT students are still eligible for free student tickets.

For those sticking close to Missoula during this game, it'll be on a big screen at Caras Park...

The ticket prices are what they are, if you want to have fun and see the game live, pay the price! If not, stay home and watch it on ROOT! This game will more than likely be for the conference Championship as MSU with its 2 wins doesnt still look to good. Would actually prefer you stay home and watch, haha. This should be a really good game between two FCS powerhouses. I also may have 2 Xtra tix for the game, just send me a PM.
