Griz/Cat Hoops game thread

Wow, this is terrible. Not a good way to start conference. I honestly don't know if we pull out of this tailspin. We haven't won a D1 game in more than a month. This doesn't feel like last season anymore. It's worse.

0, ZERO, ZILCH, NONE............. COMPOSURE, we do not have it! We need to isolate Martin or Staudacher outside teamed with Strait or Hasquet inside. Can we run some screens for open shots for any of our 3 shooters now?

Wow...where do you start???

Total collapse...

I think I would start by giving msu a little credit. They made some plays, executed the gameplan, the Griz didn't show the patience they needed to, and some players decided they were going to take shots when they should have been passing the ball.

DAMN............ OVER!!!!! I really do wonder how the GRIZ would ever do if we decide to put inside scoring 1st and keep it that way until a team stops us!!! I am officially pissed and disappointed. The CATS controlled the 2nd half and we had no composure down the stretch.

MSU played great tonight. But Montana didn't even put up a fight as the cats knocked them to the canvas. poor discipline, shot selection, everything. the second half was one of the worst halves we've played all year.

Griz needa gut check before the crappiest road trip of the season, NAU and SAC. The good news is, they have Sac on Saturday. and this is a trip they should sweep.

Are the cats that good. How are we gonna look against Weber, NAU or Portland State? It doesn't look good for the season getting handled by the cats like that.

Cats have beat Wy, Boise and Oregon State, so they are doing something right. NAU is getting thumped by PSU right now. I woul dsay PSU and msu are playing at a level much higher than the rest of the sky right now, but it is a looong season, and I guarantee you they will have a bump in the road too.

So who do we go with? Hasquet, Strait, and Stauds seem to be the only 3 worthy of starting right now. I think the world of Martin but do like him as a 6th man (not knocking him). Rundles is very disappointing this year, not so much in terms of stats but way too inconsistent. CET- I really have no idea what to think of him. Would it really do much harm in sticking big and have teams adjust to our bigs? Who in the hell cares if fans do not like the big banging type team? It is our biggest strength, why not see if it is better for this team?

CET played a pretty decent game, probably his best as a Griz. Qvale looked like a deer in the headlights, but I thought Tinks should have gone back to him again the 2nd half to show some confidence in the young man. Howard for the cats stunk the first half, yet he was the one who ingited the 2nd half rally for the cats. :twocents:
