The numbers are just facts. Not trying to make a point. Just presenting facts. You're free to conclude whatever you want.

It can be either MOnty or Monte people use both. Keep your shirt on. As for above you can factor in senior heavy teams, transfers, recruits from previous coach not panning out, strength of schedule changing etc., etc. It's not a viable excuse for being lackluster. I also, would include Holst in it either he doesn't help make your point.

Dude, you made an error, just admit it. Calm down. Check any website, like the links below, and you’ll see how to spell Monty’s name. Don’t try to name him after a goofy bear mascot that didn’t even exist when Monty coached here … LOL. As for your theory that records apparently mean nothing, and your apparent closeness to Monty … I mean, Monte? … why don’t you call Montgomery and ask him if 16 wins as a season average is respectable for 2006-07 through 2008-09 at UM. I have an idea of what he will tell you, but why not find out for yourself? If you respect Monty that much, why not ask him? Afraid of what he'll tell you?

I will agree the three year extension came to early and was probably too long but as that great sports saying goes "it is what it is". At least they showed improvement this year.

How does 15 scholarships or 13 scholarships change things? Tinkles opponents have the same # of scholarships as UM now and Montgomery's opponents had the same as UM then. Scholarship limits help mid-major and low-major teams because the premier programs can't stash as much of the top tier talent on their bench, but I don't see how it's relevant when discussing mid-major vs mid-major or low-major vs low-major.
