I've had a lot of tendonitis in my life as well. Never doubled over and nearly yacked from it.

I was referring to his work with the conditioning coach and being on bike an then having ice on it. Having had tendonitis, I know if you push it it will get worse.

Big Sky 33 It is great you are supporting this young man and he may end up being an all-american but, come on man that video was brutal. The camera man even zooms in to show his lack of effort. He was also the only player to take his helmet off immediatley as they huddled. I hope for his sake he gets it together.

I agree. I am only saying the coaches are on top of it. They know this kid a lot better than us.

Not sure a stationary bike is going to get one caught up. Not like the other players aren't working out every day and getting in better shape.

Heard he didnt want to do updowns anymore.

Evidence would suggest he didn't want to do them the first time.

The new def backfield coach Alexander is a good one and he will do a good job with the talent he has. He has made a noticeable difference already!
Which Frontier program did the coach come from? I forget.

His coach is Alexander from Boise St and the NFL. That aside a good coach is a good coach, no matter what Conference they come from. Coaches from lower level conferences are dealing with kids that need more development thus it takes coaches with good teaching skills. Stitt came from Divll. Does that make him inferior?

No. Bigsky is the type of fan that doesn't need to get closer to the players/coaches on his team. I wonder if Bigsky knows they won a championship in 1984?

Isn't that championship in dispute?

It is only in dispute on egriz. Memories tend to fade in Missoula in the pot smoke haze.

Hmmm.....If CDA says it, I believe it.....

Yes, that thick Missoula pot smoke haze does cloud judgement too!

He is working with the strength and conditioning coach on his tendonitis in his knee. It is more than just his conditioning. Choate is doing the right thing with him. If you push him too hard with this it could just make it worse. He participated much more today. Say what you want about the kid, once he gets it going, he is a talent. The new def backfield coach Alexander is a good one and he will do a good job with the talent he has. He has made a noticeable difference already. It is funny to read your assumptions on here about this kid based on a few seconds of video without context. Go figure!

Some of your fellow Bobcat fans don't share your same enthusiasm as evidenced by this quote on your board:

'Exactly, for the love of Christ he knew he was coming here so be in shape when you get here. This falls exactly in line with transfers are automatically better because they played D1, so let's cut them some slack. It's a joke, and it's exactly what Marino did when he was here. It's a fan board and everybody has every right to jump on the guy. Those saying calm down, he just got here? Are you serious, what if Brekke or Newell did this, would you be happy? No way in hell anybody would. I will give him a break not knowing the defense, but being out of shape no way. Frankly being out of shape and doing what he did in the up downs, speaks to character not just getting here. The video is so bad it's the talk of billings right now.'

I must admit I find myself in agreement with this poster. he seems to at least get it. This guy was a pac 12 corner and should know exactly what it takes to be in proper fall camp shape. He was dogging it so bad in that video there is no excuse in my opinion. He even seems to scoot to the right at the end in an attempt to hide himself behind a teammate. There is out of shape and then therec is a lack of heart and effort. I'm seeing the latter. And some of your own fans are too.

Character is measured by the things you do when you are certain you won't get caught. Obviously this young man thought no one was watching and so he dogged it. Says about all anyone needs to know.

 that is crazy bad. Coming to fall practice unable to even keep up with high school players. Even the big guys are light years ahead of this guy. There are gyms, trails, stairs all over to condition oneself. If he has a knee problem row a damn boat or something but don't come to fall camp like that.

If ever a team could benefit from the addition of a highly positive motivating force, Gregorak is probably it for the 'Cats." People can criticize his strategic skills; but they always pucker up when they hear his former players talk so positively about him. You know, the ones that actually played football for the Griz.

OH MY GOD THANK YOU

This. TG can continue to hone his football acumen, but you can't teach charisma and relatability which he has in spades.

As one of these formers, I agree.

Came across this article from when Ty was a player at Colorado, thought it was amusing:

http://amarillo.com/stories/1999/09/24/spo_LS0347.shtml#.V641Ek0rJhE

"I'm going to have to watch it because I'm going to be emotional," Colorado linebacker Ty Gregorak, recruited from Spokane to play football in Boulder, said. "It's a big game for me personally."

It's a big game for Colorado, which feels Neuheisel betrayed the Buffaloes for big bucks after a 51-43 victory over Oregon in the Aloha Bowl.

Many Colorado players felt Neuheisel had led them to believe he had made a lifetime commitment to stay in Boulder.

After accepting the Washington job, Neuheisel flew back to Colorado to talk to his former players. They were shook up.

"At the end of the speech, he said, `Does anyone have anything to say?' It was silent for about a minute. I just said, `See you the 25th,"' Gregorak said. "I can't believe it's already here.

"I felt like it just flew by. I can't wait for it to come."

Does anyone have Booby Dildo's new phone number? Again, it's just simple courtesy. If you're going to volunteer to be on an e-Griz emergency extraction team, you have to have a working phone.

With all this "eye in the sky" bullshit going on lately with cell phones, I've un-tethered myself completely. If you need to get in touch with me, call the Symes Motel in Hot Springs. Don't say your name (or mine)...when the receptionist picks up the phone, just say "Powerwagon" and hang up. I'll take it from there.

Ha! Everyone knows there is no cell coverage in Hot Springs!

And there it is, finally.

Hi Kelly. You remind me of my friend Stevie.

Don't know what that means (?).

I'm not on here to get into meaningless pissing matches with you. I know if I had simply said I was a former player, that would have been met with incredulity. Maybe I'll change my username to something similar to BWalhberg - maybe KKain would clarify this. Would that help you not confuse my posts with your Steve friend?

Ty was my (and a lot of other players) favorite coach I had while playing for the Griz. I haven't spoken to him in the 8 years since I graduated so maybe a lot has changed, but I doubt it.
