Gregorak & Rosey

I have a really stupid question. If crown "involvement" doesn't matter in a significant way why do the players move they're hands in an up and down motion to the crowd. Is it a new stretch, making sure they can see they're hands or did someone fart?

Not a stupid question, although if it means that much why don't they do it on every play ? It must be that there is a time and place for everything.

I wonder if they are coached to wave their arms as you suggest. I would venture to say that it never comes up in practice.

We're not a very good second half team....

The end........

We sucked for the entire second quarter too..... lets count the total offense scored from late first half....um....

Either you are a fan or you are not a fan. If you are a fan get you're sorry ass back in the stands at the beginning of the third quarter! If you are kind of a fan take it to Reds Bar & let someone else take your spot! Yea - We are Griz Nation! Right!

I believe that ewu held idaho to 3 points in the second half and held wash st scoreless. We better learn to adjust and execute this saturday in the second half or have a boat load of points in the first. The Griz has the tools just need to keep in sync for 4 quarters not 1.5. Last year we had 2 shut down corners so Breske could bring a lot of pressure. Last year we had Moutra and Sabrano to stretch the field and JJ seemed to have run the read option quite well. This young team has its hands full and the defense can't let ewu get ahead by a bunch cuz TM won't be able to come from behind. We win this one and the rest of the league better be careful cuz the learning curve is gonna start to flatten out for us. Huge game for the Griz. All is gonna start with the o-line. Stay positve Griz fans I think we have a chance at this one. :thumb:
Go Griz!!

From 9:10 left in the 2nd up until SSH's pass to Henderson at the end of the game....112 total yards of offense. Something like 41 minutes of football....112 total yards.

That ain't gonna win many football games.

Lots of reasons why we lost today- Play calling & non-adjustments at the top of the list. In no way am I blaming the empty seats after half time for the loss, however.......If any of you think it's not a factor, you're morons. We have an unbelievable home field advantage....when fans are in the stadium that is. How many times do we pound our chest on how loud our stadium is (& cold!!), it IS a huge advantage. The fact that the stadium is nearly empty & quiet after halftime takes away that advantage, period. If you say that it's not a factor, then NEVER let me hear you say anything about our home field advantage (false starts, delay of game, blah blah blah). Keep drinking your shitty beer & eating your crappy hot dogs while the team you are "rooting" for is in a nearly empty stadium getting two quick scores crammed down their throat within the 1st few minutes of the 2nd half. While you're expanding your waistlines, the opposing team is scoring in the "silent" noisiest part of the stadium. The true bandwagon fans are you all. You never see this in any other great home field venue in the nation....morons.

I remember when everyone used to tailgate but they watched the time and were sure as hell gonna be back in the stadium for the second half to kickoff. Why has that changed?

What has changed?? Average mans waistline used to be about 35 inches. Now probably over 42in....or else theyre wearing their old 35's.....with a good sized porch overhang...
Womens sizes from size 9 to probably 12........Hot Dogs and beer.....from 2 apiece to 4.....
Oh....and the feeling of Entitlement ....as a Griz Fan.("oh Hell Buck, our mighty griz are gonna win anyway....Let's crack another cold one, and break out those Twinkies you've been hiding")
One might say if the tailgate fan base revolves a-ROUND tailgating festivities...and the game plays 2nd fiddle, the game on the field will be impacted. Maybe if we miss the playoffs for a few years, the Chaffe will be separted from the seeds. Chaffe fans will just stay home where they belong.

Ask a player what it's like to arrive back from halftime to a half empty stadium....You won't find ONE that is in support of this.

My waistline is exactly the same that it was in college...just 6 inches lower.

That is part of the problem!! If the players would worry about playing and not the crowd maybe they could have some success. I should be pissed that I stay in the stadium and then a flat un-coached team literally walks out of the lockerroom.....I can't get on the field to play and help you and if you are that reliant on a crowd then you are there to show boat and pound your own chest rather than winning a game and giving 100% effort to the school you committed to!

The crowd can't win you or lose you a game.

Crowd can't get pumped if your pre-game sucks, your mascot sucks, the atmosphere sucks and the effort of the product on the field is mediocre. If you want attaboys and sympathy go play YMCA ball!

There was no atmosphere after halftime. The guys game out to a stadium full of empty seats. Can't imagine what that would be like as a player.
Imagine what it is like coming out to an empty stadium at the beginning of the game.

Not saying it works, but teams have known about and try to take advantage of the "lack" of a crowd to start the 2nd half at the Griz games the past few years...

Does is really matter, probably not, but it is discussed.

Watching Stanford last night take about 3 or 4 off side calls related to noise from the very loud UW fans, I'd say they lost that game because of it...one of the offsides gave UW the break they needed to win in the final quarter...much to my chagrin.

Bump again!! Gregorak is a spitting image of how Paulson ran his defense? I quit counting how many times I saw a LB lined up against a WR.. He never changed anything up! Are we that thin at the DB position where we cant run a Nickle or a Dime package? The whole game the LB's were spread down the field and the worst part is that Gregorak thinks he knows what he is doing.. I know I have an idea lets play a weak ass cover 4 at the end of the game and see what happens.. The guy is a joke! He needs to go back coaching at the NAIA level again because he cant even lift his leg to pee with the big dogs..
