Grading the 25-26 Griz Athletics Year

I am amazed how many Griz fans think last season was a failure.
Losing to the cats twice and watching them win the natty definitely colors how I viewed the season. No it's not really fair but it is what it is.

Even I wouldn't call it mediocre though. That's just plain silly.

Women’s Basketball: F agree
Men’s Basketball: C should be D
Recruiting is awful and that comes down to the coaches effort
Football: C for two many close games: there is not much competition left in the FCS and the Griz continue to falter
Soccer: B because they can not retain a quality coach
Volleyball:F
Overall Athletic Department Grade: F for Fail

And you are quite literally bonkers thinking 13-2 is mediocre.
Go ahead and be satisfied with/complacent losing to the Cats at least eight times every ten years and twice in one year for the next five. 13-2 is not mediocrity for Eastern and Weber and Northern Colorado and Northern Arizona and Cal Poly and Portland State. 13-2 is mediocrity for the Griz.

Some giant leaps by you. Also, not sure how 13-2 is mediocre when that ties the one other best season in the last 15. By your standards, Montana is nothing but a mediocre program with unrealistic fans pissing on 13 wins when that is the most since 2009. Montana has won more than 13 games six times...ever.

Yes. Do you?
Mediocre according to Merriam Webster:
of moderate or low quality, value, ability, or performance.

I definitely wouldn't describe last years team as low quality. You could definitely use shortfall, underperforming, or even disappointing. Not mediocre though. Thats just wrong, no matter what someones opinion might be.

So you would grade it higher if the Griz won the regular season and then lost in the second round of the playoffs.
I'm not DWTF, but the way I see it:

Beating our rival, clinching home field, and winning the Big Sky: Huge +

Tripping over our dicks to go out in the 2nd round at home: Huge -

That said, had we beaten them, won the big sky, and clinched home field, I don't think we'd have lost again before Nashville, but now we're just battling hypotheticals.

Personally, I'd give the football season an A-, but it's the type of A- where my bully beat me up and stole my girlfriend during the semester, so it feels a whole hell of a lot worse than that.
