Last year, GS had, at home (5 games, declining attendance):
Savannah St - 83-9 - 23,121
App St - 34-13 - 24,535
Idaho - 47-24 - 23,250
Troy - 42-10 - 18,321
UL Monroe - 22-16 - 16,283
So their average attendance actually went up even though they were not going to be bowl eligible last year.
Average attendance for 2014 -
21,102

vs Wofford - 21,403
vs Samford - 15,341
vs App State - 20,073
vs South Carolina State - 10,214

2012: Average Home Attendance (Not counting playoffs) -
20,087
vs Jacksonville - 20,132
vs Elon - 18,353

vs Wofford - 20,983

Guess moving up didn't hurt their attendance at all, in fact it seems to have helped a bit. Once they are bowl eligible I'm sure it'll peak the interest level at the end of the season more too.
