Game day security screening

I’ve found that if you stroke a big check, they give you sideline passes for pregame and allow you to enter through the Champions Center/tunnel…seemed to work just fine.

Got in line at the “newer” NEZ entrance, there was a bit of commotion as an emergency services truck had to get thru. Once in line we were in the stadium within 10ish minutes. We got in line 25 min before kick. Fastest I’ve gone thru.

There are new scanners that don’t require you to empty pockets, etc. we did have to remove hats which seemed odd. Got through them pretty quick, scanned our tix and we were in.

It was its usual disorganized chaos of fans on campus drive but thought the scan / check in process seemed to go far quicker.

I read that as well. I believe the issue is more of how and when the crowd wants to get in... my inclination is that the Pearl Jam crowd was more of a constant stream and the game was a mad rush starting about 40 minutes out. Just a thought....
I think rush would be about the same, plus more people for PJ. I expected a complete cluster, based on game experience, but it was set up extremely smoothly for the concert. Difference is security was out at the river bowl, so most of the game tailgating area was "inside" security....fine for concert, but not game. They could maybe do something like that at South entrance, but loss of parking.

My friend came out the tunnel behind the team, and one of very few with a sideline pass during game. Think he was only non-team person in locker room pre-game. In the old days, there were more sideline passes. I liked it when you could still bring your kid to sidelines if he had a pass. Huge fun.

I had the opposite experience. Was pleasantly surprised how quick we got in. We lined up at the west entrance and the lines were backed up to the stairs. This was about 40 mins before kick off. When we got stopped at the stairs by the all the people I figured we’d be in line for 20 to 30 minutes and instead we were through in about 7-8 mins. In my seats 30 mins before the game. I was pleasantly shocked
Same, came in by the beer gardens in no time at all!!!

So it seems to be just those two entrances on the East side that had the issue? Don't know if I should derive that it was an equipment issue or an employee issue (or both) either way it really needs to get fixed!

One of the ticket checkers up the north stairs at the East entrance could not work her device. The other gal was checking through 10 people to her one. Don't the train these people live?

I think the other pain point is that the security checks/ticket scans are a different experience depending on which gate you go through. For example, the west gate was getting queued up on the stairs, but you only spent about 7-10 minutes in line. They had two metal detectors, you could go through either one, they had a security officer about 3/4 steps past the metal detector then they had one(two?) tables for clear bag inspection. However, the security officer would get a visual on your clear bag as you were walking by. If you were good, they just waved you over to the people scanning the tickets. In addition to that they had 3 or 4 self ticket scanners. There was no removing of hats or anything like that.
