Fund-Raising Going South

mtgrizrule said:
You are a little more specific than what I posted. I too have heard similar information, from each side of supporting Engstrom, and supporting Pflu/O'day. Many are upset how it was done, and without answers, than it was done. O'day also won over many of those donors. O'day's loss is more of an impact than Engstrom was thinking. Seriously, who made the decision, and how thought out was it?

Who will be giving the answers, and when? With fund raising going south, maybe some answers will come sooner, than later. I sure hope so.
Well, I am, and will remain a legacy donor, leaving the vast bulk of my estate to the UNIVERSITY of Montana, which is, I assume, why there is a football program in the first place. If "donor committments" are being cancelled, then we should look seriously to the very purpose of UM....Many universities do not renew contracts of lots of personnel, and few react the way many are acting here....I suspect your "rumors" are simply that....

Rumors are that over $500,000 of fund-raising commitments have been withdraw, cancelled or put on hold. Other rumors that the number is several hundred thousand dollars more than that. Rumors that some have said they are changing their wills to eliminate donations to UM. This involves donations to the athletic facilities campaign and the general fund. I wonder if the building of the new academic center will be able to proceed.

I know $50k of that is true.............................................

Same thing happened at msu when kramer was canned. MSU fund raising is now at an all time high.

People have short memories.

Rash had better start making serious runs at the NC or that could change. Not smack just stating a fact.

Very clever little hammer, Rash thats taking it to another level. Your a complete idiot with comments like that, there is no doubt family members find you a disgrace. Why don't you sit back down in your basement, eat your cheetos, drink your natty ice, and try to come up with a comment that actually has some facts and contributory substance.

Christ some peoples' kids.

Damn, this sucks, cannot remember his name now. But the GRIZ should hire the retired Tech coach to head a fund raising committee. That guy is/was the funniest coach ever.
I believe you're thinking of Bob Green. One of his more famous quotes is, "I have mixed emotions about the way we played. Kinda like seeing your horrible Mother-in-law drive off a cliff in your new Cadillac." -- Not sure if that is the exact quote, but I'm sure it's pretty close!

That is him!!!! It would be great to bring him on board somehow with the GRIZ. He surely would help any transition, and soothe the natives. :thumb:

Trust me.....those "Greenisms" (check them out on the NAIA Frontier board) are off-colored enough to NOT generate any revenue!

I recently sent the GSA a donation. It wasn't a huge one, but I sent it in. My dollars had nothing to do with the firing (either way). Just wanted to help the team this year as I have in the past.

Though now that I think about it, I'm still pretty p*ssed that they canned Gene Carlson.
Hey I want my money back!!!

A moment of truthiness..

If one intends to talk shit on the interweb, one should at least proofread.. Not because it really matters, but because grammar shit-talk is like the kindergarten of smack. At least cover your bases, stupid..

Can you spot my grammatical error(s)??

Well, doesn't an ellipsis normally have three periods and not just two?

The original poster in this thread must know every single "rich" guy booster in the loops to expound on that many different rumors. lmao

Yet, it only takes one in the club to give you their side. It is possible the information could be coming from someone employed by the U of M, too. No need to know every booster. I am sure funds have been negatively impacted, and will continue to be, for a short time, at least.

What is the "Club"? Please, don't be stupid. If you think that these big donors commensurate with each other you are pretty naive.

Out of curiosity, what does the word "commensurate" mean, in your opinion?

I thought commensurste is what happens after PMS. In which case maybe all of this was a big mistake.

I am fairly certain its when a woman cums and menstruates at the same time. Pretty sure the word was coined in Alabama organic Arkansas.
