Bobby Hauck WAS a great coach for UM but...

Bobby Hauck hasn't done crap since he left UM, and I really don't see why there is so much drooling over the guy. Again his teams at UNLV SUCKED!!! and they gave him 5 years to fix it. Some of the posters on here started trying to throw Stitt out even before the Griz played a game, and their posts have only got worse. You can "Sugar coat" Haucks UNLV record all you want, but facts are facts. There is no proof that if he came back, UM would start winning 10 games a season.

As far as Stitt, I have been very clear that it takes some time to implement his type of football (just like almost every other coach). To throw him out after this year would do nothing but cause a new coach more time to implement his type of football. That would be "moronic"

Now at the end of next year... he's probably had enough time.

Since Bobby wants to come here and retire, maybe Stitt could hire him for special teams and DC. This way we get an offense, fantastic special teams and great defense. Stitt needs to send Semore packing no matter what happens if Stitt is retained....

All I am saying is Stitt is an average coach , I personally belive he will never have a better record than what he has, "average at best" that's all he is and ever will be .

DII vs. FBS. Real good comparison.

1) Hauck lost to DII version of NDSU in Wa-Griz. Stitt beat FCS verison of NDSU in Wa-Griz.
2) Before Stitt left CO Mines for MT, he lost a tough game to his conference foe CSU-Pueblo 12-20. Eventual FCS semifinalist Sam Houston State lost to CSU-Pueblo 21-47 the same year. Not sure there is this huge discrepancy between DII and FCS that you make it out to be. I don't think it's like the jump between the Big Sky and the Pac 12. You might not like the reality, but Big Sky may be closer to RMAC than Pac 12. Anyway, I think enough people who know more about football than me and you put together have had good things to say about Stitt's coaching abilities. I'm not averse to making him hire new D and ST coordinators in the offseason, though...

Stitt played the FCS version of NDSU again that year; how did that go? How would it go today, well into third year?

Improve your reading skills; I pointed out the discrepancy between DII and FBS, which you tried to compare.

Football is football. The FCS NDSU team that Montana beat had beaten several FBS schools in that span of time. When Stitt's offense is clicking, and with some additional recruiting on D, I'd love another crack at NDSU, especially in Wa-Griz. Where Bobby lost to them when they were DII...

Dream on; when the toughest team we can beat is ISU.

Thanks. It was interesting to see other teams threw the ball more than us. EWU threw 65 times to our 51. Understandably they were behind early but caught up early 2nd half. Still threw 14 more balls than we did. Stitt focused recruiting on receivers early on and I think that leads people to believe we are a pass heavy team but we really arent. We are about as balanced as possible.
