Hard to say. We haven’t played a decent opponent so it’s hard to say. They are top line Division2, we are middle of the pack, FCS so it will be an interesting game.

So middle of the pack FCS is ranked #13? You do realize there are over 100 FCS teams. Griz by 40

To summarize the two schools of thought I'm picking up on here. Ferris State is very formidable and the Griz better watch out or they'll lose on Saturday, similar to how they lost to NDSU in 2002 and almost to CWU in 2008. Or Ferris St is D2 and the Griz are gonna crush them. I'm gonna say something in between happens. Ferris ST keeps it close through the first half or so and the Griz slowly put the game away by the 4th quarter. Lets say 38-24. Looking forward to Saturday.

I think this week will be one of those challenges, and I think particularly on the coaching front. Ferris State has won back to back D2 titles, and that’s a difficult thing to do at any level. You have to have superior talent and coaching. Ferris state has that. They will be more prepared from a schematic standpoint than either Butler or UT. They’ll attack any weaknesses that we have. Our challenge will be to react and overpower.

Well said. I think we will be on our heels at first resulting from playing weak opponents the first two games. Likely soon we will realize we are in a football game and raise the level of our game. Eventually, our overall depth will prevail and the Griz will win.

Fun fact: there are 34 DBs listed on their roster. No listed CB, S, or FS.

Their lines are big. They definitely don’t lack in beef. Watching some of their games, I don’t think they will have seen an opponent that can match our team speed (which I still have questions about…) on either side of the ball. Watched their Natty and the first two games and the opponents seemed to be running in sand compared to Ferris. I can absolutely see the talent on that team.

Like it or not, this will be a fist fight. It will probably come down to depth. But if the Griz let them hang around… they could be a problem. This game scares me…
