Ferris State

You sure have become a world-class whiner. You are free to walk by my posts. I don't care.

A win at home against Ferris would make me happy. It is meaningless in the big scheme of things...as it counts for nothing wrt to playoffs or seeds.

A loss however...is a kick in the balls to everyone - fans, players, coaches, the athletic department.

Now, what exactly are you whining about? Is whining your narrative?

Listen, Eyeore, if you don't know the meaning of words like "whining" you shouldn't use them. Nobody whines more about any subject than you do about Bobby Hauck. Pointing out how boring your 1 trick pony has become is not whining. But I get it, you're an AG1 wannabe, and like Dan Quayle, you are no AG1.

And ditto on just walking on by.

Are you really still whining about this?

Get me out of you head...it's just wierd dude.

...Then you disappeared.

IF, and only IF, da Griz lose to both Ferris State and the scats, and a few others along the way, someone will disappear.
On the other hand, if they win both Ferris State and scat games, and run the table, someone else will disappear.

I know, I know. Which is it? This brings to mind a scene from "Cheers." Perhaps you remember.

(Frasier is trying to add a little culture to the guys' lives by reading them Dickens.)
Frasier: All right. Gather around, everyone. I am going to right a horrible wrong. I am going to read to you Dickens' classic, A Tale of Two Cities, and you will see just how much fun great literature can be. [all groaning] "Book the First. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times."
Norm: Hey, wait, whoa, whoa, whoa. Which was it?
Frasier: Just stay tuned, Norm.
Norm: "It was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness. It was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity."
Cliff: Boy, this Dickens guy really liked to keep his butt covered, didn't he?

Lighten up a little bit, guys.
I'm beginning to think Dickens reincarnated, and morphed, into more than one eGriz poster.

While I don't think it will happen, as I predict a 10-14 point victory for the Griz, but if we lose to Ferris, it should be the final nail in Hauck's coffin, and he should be replaced next season. No amount of Hoops and Kem's spin jobs can justify our once dominant FCS program losing to a Div. II team AT HOME, no matter how highly they are ranked pre-season.

Because of that fact, I think this is a MUST WIN game for Bobby to keep his job, just like the Cat game should be a MUST WIN game for him to keep his job. Even most of you apologists will jump on the bandwagon if either of these happen.

It would be completely impossible for a coach to lose to a Division II team and be a good coach. There is absolutely no chance that a coach could lost to a Division II national championship team, and then get their own team to the FCS national championship the next year or go on to be the winningest coach in Big Sky Conference history. Absolutely no way that coach could get out to a current record of 116-34. Oh. Wait.

You can't simplify this down to one game. If we lose both of those games, then yea, it is going to be a very hot seat for him. But to say that either is a must win? That's just not true. If we lost either of those games, but won every other game and a national championship, he would be treated as a hero.

You really need to stop spending every day stewing about Bobby Hauck. Its not good for your health, and it is kind of creepy. He's just a football coach, and the game against Ferris St. is just one game.

And if my aunt had testicles, she'd be my uncle.......

What is creepy about providing reality to the Kool-Aid drinkers like you? I live in your head now, just like I do in Hooked's head. It's hilarious watching both of you get your panties soiled reading my posts.

Bud, I'm the one that was telling you to relax. You rage post here every day. I just brought up that there is a trajectory, and that is what matters. I come here to talk football, and I'm more than happy if you disagree and want to chat. I am firmly in reality, and I'm the poster that completely admitted our trajectory turned downward for last year. I'm just saying that you can't over simplify to one game. I'm sure you would agree that if we lost to Ferris State and then won out and won the national championship, you would be happy, right? That would be a good season?

The "creepy" part I referred to is that you seem to have some very personal animosity for a football coach from your alma mater. You really seem to hate him. Did you go to school with him and he stole your girlfriend? Did he embarrass you at a party? You seem really worked up about him on a creepy personal level.

I don’t believe the Griz will lose to Ferris State and if they do, it won’t be a disaster as some of you are saying. There will be plenty of time to recover and have an excellent year, including beating state college.

We should never be playing D2 schools, if $$ is the issue play a road game vs FBS.

Home games make more money, the Missoula businesses (which help support the Griz financially) get big business, and the fans get to attend a home game.

Do you ever attend games in Missoula?

You also went poop about how the Griz had no chance of beating the Bison in Stitt's first game, and launched insult after insult towards people who said we might win. Then you disappeared. Another game among many. Still don't get the point. Everyone is saying Ferris State will be a tough team. And?

Do you have to lie to gain the credibility that you desperately seek? I'm calling your scat on this allegation. I never once posted that about the NSDU game. Show us the posts I supposedly made, or STFU! Desperate for attention much, out-back boy?

You're back to calling everyone names and frothing at the bit, just two months after signing out for good. We know how this will end.

You can't even remember your last screen name, but you're back to calling everyone names and frothing at the bit, just months after "leaving for good." We know how this will end.

Wait, you mean when the Griz have multiple home playoff games the community benefits? Maybe we should hire a head coach that get us back to that place, instead of one that wins one playoff game before heading ice fishing.

We already have the right coach. My sons work in coaching and confirm that we have the right coach.

do you think you can just pick a FBS school to put you on their schedule? Maybe we should call up Ohio State and tell them to pencil us in for the 3rd game of the season...

With proper planning, yes

And FBS games are never home games.

Until we become FBS.

Lots of teams won't do that, especially after we upset Washington. It got harder to find opponents. Secondly, we don't want to take money to just go fly out to Columbus, get our players beat up, and come back with no momentum. That is a quick way to kill some mojo.

That is why we schedule home-and-home series with the teams that we do. Sometimes those just aren't available.

Most of the experts on this board thought we had no chance against Washington. Probably including you.

Anyone know what the Vegas line was before the game? 'Bet' a few people had a good payday.
Before the game, the Griz were 1-16-1 against the Huskies. But, hey, we kicked their ass 18-14 in 1920.

I was one who was certain we had no chance. I was at the 63-7 beatdown a couple years earlier. To think those two teams moved in such dramatic opposite directions in just a few years is crazy.

I feel like if Trump had won in 2020 we lose that game. With Biden stealing a fake vote victory the whole country was moving downhill. Traditional institutions like Pac-12 Football were being eroded by Pride flags and a lack of prayer in schools.
