Wow! I felt badly for you a couple years back and breathed a sigh of relief when your personal "all clear" was sounded. Apparently, my concern was wasted and now I just feel badly for those that know you.

To the rest of you, I had one the best days ever at a college gameday. Your campus was awesome, your stadium amazing, and, other than the few ignorant douchebags every fanbase has, you folks were great! Next after Green Bay, I've never felt more welcome as an opposing fan. Thanks, and I hope to return the favor next year. Good luck the rest of the way!

+1 when I was there in 2011 except substitute Nebraska fans for Green Bay fans. There were some ignorant drunks that made me uncomfortable to be wearing Red when I wasn't with my group, but like all groups we have our share of jerks too. Enjoyed tailgating with Griz fans when they were in Cheney as well and like to think that they found us to be good hosts. That's why I'll never understand is the willingness to condemn everyone in a fan base or team for the actions of some ... Like most generalizations, it doesn't stand up to scrutiny.

VA has issued threats at UM all week, several during the game, throat slashes etc at players and fans, and the icing on the cake was intentional over the top block on Tripp. He ran out hit Tripp so hard to knocked his chin strap off. Not necessary for the play whatsoever and in fact seemed like a "f*** you" from him to Tripp at a personal level.

Whatever may or may not happen to VA on the field is completely out of my hands. His actions this week both on and off the field if continued will quite possibly lead to others dialing it up on his ass big time. If so then he will get his just deserts.

If you were at the game you must have seen Tripp talking trash and in Adams face the entire first half right, most dead balls, and every chance he had? He absolutely lit a fire under VA...

The Montana fans, tailgates, and hospitality is second to none, thank you to all the Griz fans.

Both teams on the field will be in the playoffs and both have the talent to make a deep run.

If JJ had done something like that too a LB, every single one of us would have celebrated it, and probably made several threads about it.

You're being petty, and it seems like your true colors are showing.
 
Some of the comments by the vocal minority of grizz fans is deplorable. Hoping for SHOOTA to have his legs broken and whining about his awesome hit against Tripp is downright disgusting and sad. However, many true UM fans reprimanded the few above and made me think of Montana in a much more positive light.

But that's not what this inane thread is about. Every Griz fan and every EWU fan that I saw at the game conducted themselves with class and I talked to a number of them. As far as I'm concerned, this is a BS statement.
 
Personally, as far inane goes, I'd give the nod to the "you bitches can love EWU all you want" thread. But if you want to call this one out, hey, knock yourself out.
 
If ANY Griz football player had tweeted threats, used throat slitting signs several times DURING the game towards opposing fans/players, and apparently intentionally targeted an opposing player to hammer just for fun then we all know what would happen.

EWU fans would be on here screaming about this behavior, MSU fans would, hell even most the Griz fans on here defending this little puke VA would also be angry at the griz player.

The behavior Vernon Adams displayed all week and all game, the threats even in jest and the targeting of Tripp would all be TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE for a griz athlete.

VA will get his sometime if this behavior continues. And most on this thread are hypocrites.

I don't think you understand what "targeting" is. The block that Adams put on Tripp was completely legal - are you suggesting that is wasn't? If not, then why are you bitching about a 190 pound QB putting a block on a 230 pound LB? Not trying to smack, but maybe if he had been running a little harder to make the tackle perhaps Adams would not have had time to catch up to him and lay a block on him.

Do you really think Tripp is bitching right now or thinks it was a dirty play? It's football dude. You're coming across as a bit of a whiner and sore loser.

And while we're on the subject - what "threats" are you talking about that he tweeted? The gun and bear thing? Good grief. :lol:
 
Shoota (I'm glad that caught on) played like a mang. I'm still not a huge fan of his mechanics, but we can't really argue with the results.

I seriously doubt that JJ would run down field and lay a cheap shot blind side block on a defensive player 20 or more yards away from a play. How said that Tripp was our golden boy, I don't give a crap who Adams hit, the facts are the facts that it was a cheap dirty play, which EWU committed many of through-out the day on Saturday, 2 personal fouls for hitting guys in the back after plays were more than a few seconds over, and the hit to Bienneman was one of the dirtier plays that I have seen this season. But whatever, no EWU fans care about that, they just wanna say we are whining and bitching. Look at the facts!!
 
There was blocking still going on behind Adams, so why is it a big deal that Adams made a block? Tripp was trotting downfield and got owned.

That being said, as a high school official, I would have thrown a flag on that. But this ain't high school, these are grown men.
