Somebody must have pulled the plug on Egriz in Mountain time.

News of UC Davis thinking FBS seems to get a yawn out of you.

Because thinking your able to go to the FBS and actually going are 100x different. Unless your gonna go independent it’s hard to get a conference and no matter what you say. The Pac-12 and MWC are not pushing for teams right now. Especially not mid rate universities that already have basketball affiliations with other conferences. Also there is still very high possibilities that FBS as we know it, divides in the next 10 years. Football cost are increasing faster than ever before and while fcs thinks FBs is the solution. Big time FBS (P5) $$$ is gonna price too much for mid and lower FBS teams. There is a good chance we see FBS divide and then yes I can see too FCS teams morphe into this new lower fbs with regional conferences to cut costs and open markets for income(similar to fcs now).
You obviously don't read what I post.

UC Davis won't go FBS alone like Liberty. They will have Sac St and Poly a,d take in Southland, schools, like Sam Houston, Lamar and others and get UTRGV to commit,to,FBS.

Left with a truncated Sky, the Montana's, Idaho, EWU and Weber will take refuge in tbe Summit and also go FBS.

This so play out over the next several months as it was scripted in 2011.

Sac state can’t go FBS not only are they in a huge finiacial crisis but also they don’t have any of the facilities to meet any requirements to go fbs in any capacity. Cal poly actually doesn’t either even though they are closer. UCD even needs some more things to go FBS from a facilities stand points. Sac state would need about 40 million in renovations and construction before an FBS conf. Will even remotely consider it. Your theory is so utterly rediculous. Sac doesn’t want to travel to Washington or MT rather less Texas etc. “it’s cheaper to fly” no it’s not...not with a football team and equipment. They can’t pay anyone to go play there in ooc. They can’t make the revenue differences. Sac is much much closer to going to d2 than FBS.

Add Carrol College to that list, and you have the Awesomer Saucier Conference.

Looks like CWU will move up too.

https://www.dailyrecordnews.com/news/year-in-review-no-cwu-shows-dedication-to-football-with/article_4ce9f894-6fc5-5b29-bfc5-044318e9ce3a.html

Why would a school that needs to schedule its conference DII opponents double round robin, and lost one for next year, spend $10 mill for better fb facilities, if they don’t move up? It would be far easier to drop fb and use that cash elsewhere.

So CWU is on the Griz schedule in 2020 and later? Really an aspirational move on your part to stay in the withering Big Sky. That’s an Awesomer Saucier Conference and of course the Griz are begging to be a part of that low cost conferece. Just think how much tv time that conference could sell in Seattle!

CWU and the Griz would make fantastic rivals. Maybe the Griz could even win one!

My posts are all nonsense from an idiot according to this board.

But an article in the Davis paper today has a big booster saying

“We are just too big, and prestigious, to stay at FCS.”

https://www.davisenterprise.com/sports/aggie-football-maintaining-the-lofty-perch/

Poly and Sac St will follow Davis to FBS. Davis has its eyes on the MWC and later the PAC12 but knows it need to spend time at a low level of FBS first before the MWC will accept it.

Suddenly, the Big Sky needs Dixie St and the Griz need them to survive as a conference.

I don't know who called you an idiot. I hope it was me, because you are an idiot.

This is what the big booster said. Do you think Davis will win a couple FCS championships in the next 5-10 years. I don't. He played in 1960. He will be long gone before this happens.

"In fact, Edwards says if UCD can win a couple of FCS championships over the next five or 10 years, movement up to the Football Bowl Subdivision is within reach.

“Of course, we have to be successful at the level that we’re playing,” says the retired Saratoga developer, a 1960 football-playing Davis graduate. “We have to be at the top of the Big Sky. We do that for a while, then we probably — no, not probably — we need to go to the next level where there’s a Mountain West or a Pac-12."

PR, his posts get more and more stupid every time he comes out from under his rock. His scenarios get more and more bizarre....I’m not sure what he’s smoking.

These four already showing interest in a decent bus league.

Weber
Dix
SUU
NAU

That's not interest in a bus league, it is teams happy to have a FCS OOC opponent in bus range.

Correct, you are an idiot.

Until said booster is writing a check for $50 million to cover FBS for 10 years, his opinion is as valid as mine.

Davis will never get into the Pac 12.

The Dakotas didn't like playing a conference schedule in 3 time zones.
They do right now.

PUFW is in EST
Denver is in MST.
The rest are in central.

And they would get rid of PUFW today if given the opportunity.

BTW, Fort Wayne is closer to Fargo, and far easier to get to than EWU or Idaho.

I lost track...why is UNDUfan here again?

He made a bet that by July 1st, 2018 that Montana, Montana State, Idaho, the 4 Dakota schools and a shifting 8th school (usually EWU or WSU) along with NMSU as a football affiliate would form a FBS "Great Northern Conference" on the CSNBBS forum. He vowed never to return if he was wrong.

So in short, needed a new home for his SiouxPorn

Yep. No way Poly or Sac are even close to even peforming a feasibility study.

He didn’t get the memo that UND left the Big Sky plus he thinks someone here stole his red stapler and he’ll burn this site down if he doesn’t get it back.

You are delusional in your assessment of CPU and UCD, soccer is far more popular at these high academic schools and rightfully so, as it suits their student's lives. In fact, high school football in Calif while excellent, is losing its allure among parents and students.

He sure is persistent...must be a really nice stapler.

No msu-missoula, that can't be right.

UCDavis received a $5 mill dollar gift for football, and has a $30 mill plan for an expanded 30,000seat stadium. FBS will soon follow. Sacramento got a multi billion owner to buy into an expansion MLS team, build a fancy new stadium, and help the Sac St Hornets move up too.

Cal Poly has approval to expand over 15,000 seats, the minimal FBS level.

Just keep listening to PlayRep. He will lead you into the promised land and a conference filled with CWU’s, Dixie St’s and No Colorado’s

Have you not realized that a majority doesn't care what schools are in the Conference and don't want the Griz to move up to FBS?

You are consistent, at least, but you are trying desperately to fit some "facts" to "yours'...Let me repeat: UC Davis and CPSLO are not going to change their status from FCS to FBS any more than UM. The Stadium in Davis was built to expand to about 30,000 in the distant future. But, before that, the school has decided, again, years ago, that other needs outweigh stadium topping out. And, CPSLO has invested more in other areas since its students and community at large, while supportive, do not attend football in numbers that would warrant a large build out of Spanos. So, it is soccer that draws the student interest and both schools have plans to increase their budgets and facilities to meet the demand. So, UND, worry about your own conference. The Big Sky is doing nicely.
