I just heard they have agreed to extend Stitt for two seasons with a 3rd season buyout at a reduced rate if he doesn’t produce. Stitt refused to accept a one year deal or to allow any outside influence over who was part of his staff.

I’m glad he stood his ground. This is what is best for the program. Two years from now we will be extending him again. I think he’ll put together a deep playoff run next year or the year after.
I hope your source is not reputable. There will be a revolt among the program's best supporters. If Kent thinks he can smooze them to bring them back into the fold, he's wrong. Money will be tight so all you Stitt supporters better start sending in your checks.

Man you must be a bigger deal than I realize. I didn't know you spoke for and represented all program's best supporters. Kudos for that leadership.
They are speaking for themselves. The several I know have never liked his arrogance and certainly don't like his results. Watch the impact. KH will be coming to all you 'Stitt lovers to replace the lost money so get ready to pony up. Season tickets will also take a hit; they have been trending downward anyhow.

I disagree. My info comes from one of the programs biggest supporters who fully supports Stitt and does not want to see us start fresh with a new staff.
17 posts all in favor of Stitt. Is that you Robert?

No but I’m a fan. To accomplish what he has without his QB can’t be taken for granted. I started posting only this season and only because of reading this craziness about cutting ties with Stitt. I’ve been a mid level donor for years and while I don’t have the cash to be one of the major players I have had the luck to get to know many of them at hundreds of functions over the years. This idea that our major donors want Stitt gone is ludicrous. Maybe some do, but the majority are supportive and understand that switching systems will be detrimental to the program.

Good to hear, and who knows - there might be some new ones coming aboard because of it.

So we’ve heard:

he was getting offered a 3 year extension if he beat the cats, a 1 year extension if he lost,

He balked at the idea of signing a 1 year deal

He will be offered a 2 year extension with a reduced buyout after 1

Now, a 2 year with a reduced buyout after 3

Just trying to keep track

so you can say 100% that the MAJORITY of big boosters are ready for a coaching change and want Stitt out. Looking forward to that answer.

Today’s donors like the refreshing absence of this stuff:

No wonder. You can't read. What does "The several I know" mean to you? Go back and try common core.

Here's some common core for you:

You know "several" who want a change (sounds serious). Let's say your several make up at a maximum 10% of large booster money. Do you think Haslam is going to risk the 90% of large booster dollars who don't want a change for the few who do. Talk about making idiotic decisions. This one will be easy for him. I'm not saying I agree 100% with it but ihes not afraid to make several boosters pick up their marbles and go home. If that's what they choose then I'd argue they aren't very good Griz fans to begin with.

Do you guys think we’re gonna hear a decision tomorrow on what’s gonna happen? You’d have to think Haslam has already made his decision based on the outcome of yesterday’s result.

If true then Stitt ran over Haslam....which means Haslam should be fired for letting a coach be the one to make the decisions following very disappointing seasons. That is very poor leadership

I think the longer you hear nothing the better off it is for Stitt. And if you hear nothing by Wednesday, then assume he isn't going anywhere.

Well, it is likely not true. Seriously, someone is trolling big time here. Nobody, other than a select few know what will happen. Don't buy into this crap.

Yeah, we probably have extra money around and won't miss it or the weaker season ticket renewal. I think you have no idea of the impact. I think it will be substantial and a problem. Read that carefully, please.

“The trio of Grizzly players were were arrested on felony charges of robbery, burglary and aggravated kidnapping. All have been suspended from the team indefinitely.”
