I just heard they have agreed to extend Stitt for two seasons with a 3rd season buyout at a reduced rate if he doesn’t produce. Stitt refused to accept a one year deal or to allow any outside influence over who was part of his staff.

I’m glad he stood his ground. This is what is best for the program. Two years from now we will be extending him again. I think he’ll put together a deep playoff run next year or the year after.

I hope your source is not reputable. There will be a revolt among the program's best supporters. If Kent thinks he can smooze them to bring them back into the fold, he's wrong. Money will be tight so all you Stitt supporters better start sending in your checks.

I disagree. My info comes from one of the programs biggest supporters who fully supports Stitt and does not want to see us start fresh with a new staff.

No but I’m a fan. To accomplish what he has without his QB can’t be taken for granted. I started posting only this season and only because of reading this craziness about cutting ties with Stitt. I’ve been a mid level donor for years and while I don’t have the cash to be one of the major players I have had the luck to get to know many of them at hundreds of functions over the years. This idea that our major donors want Stitt gone is ludicrous. Maybe some do, but the majority are supportive and understand that switching systems will be detrimental to the program.

Good to hear, and who knows - there might be some new ones coming aboard because of it.

You know "several" who want a change (sounds serious). Let's say your several make up at a maximum 10% of large booster money. Do you think Haslam is going to risk the 90% of large booster dollars who don't want a change for the few who do. Talk about making idiotic decisions. This one will be easy for him. I'm not saying I agree 100% with it but ihes not afraid to make several boosters pick up their marbles and go home. If that's what they choose then I'd argue they aren't very good Griz fans to begin with.
