Dateline Is In Missoula This Week

Dateline is yellow journalism at its worst. You can be sure they know what they're going to say going in and are just looking for supportive interviews and b-roll footage.
We have seen yellow journalism at its worst with the Missoulian. Dateline will be more balanced than Gwen.

Wow. I was really getting into the new sports seasons with a klean slate, clean klean lean what the hell.

Stir the shit anyone?

Just an observation... the OP hasn't returned to this thread since his original post... one would think he would return to discuss or defend his post.

They are here. Talked to O'Day and he said he turned them down and so did Pabst. They had already showed their bias by who they talked to first. Can't wait to see it. :roll:

First of all, do you know they asked them first? And second, does it really matter who they ask first or who they asked last. If they are here they are going to ask as many involved people as possible. I don't like the situation any more than any one else, but some of you complain about everything!

Yeah I know more than what I posted. Believe what you want sport. :thumb:
Everybody claims that. All sorts of "in the know" people on this board. But thanks for not answering the question of what difference it makes who they ask first.

Ok "champ" I will give you another chance. They told both Pabst and O'Day the angle they were approaching this from and asked if they wanted to offer a counter point. Unless you are stupid, and you may well be, that means to counter the "point" they are offering as truth which is the OPPOSITE position of Pabst and O'Day. They interviewed at least four other people before these two were approached and told them that. Maybe they came in objective, haha, but wouldn't you go to the attorneys that prevailed first? History is usually written by the victor. Why go to the County Attorney's office first? They lost right? If you can't follow this logic, then we will just have to disagree on this point. :?

Now was it really that hard to articulate your thoughts. Maybe one day you will learn to do it without being a douchebag. If what you say is true, than so be it. I suppose it makes sense to you although I still don't think it matters who they ask first. its not like the information is going to change. When dateline does this type of story though they don't often approach something as truth or not. This isn't Chris Hansen hanging out In a back room saying "gotcha". They actually do some pretty good investigative stuff. I can guarantee you it will be better than anything Florio or the missoulian put together. Good morning America gave UM a pretty fair shot, I suggest waiting to see if dateline does the same. I suspect they will. Just my opinion though.

So the fact I didn't spell everything out in my first post that you wanted but you said I complain about everything, questioned my veracity and told me how Dateline does its stories makes me a douche? Got it. :thumb: I have no doubt their piece will be better than the Missoulian and Florio, but why are we measuring it against the lowest common denominator?

Dateline might be contacting people while they are in Missoula, but they had to have interviews lined up before they arrived. Chances are, they were lining up interviews before the trial was over, which really wasn't that long ago.

The producer is Tim Beachum. http://www.linkedin.com/pub/tim-beacham/16/447/6bb" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Jim Foley, Jim O'Day and others declined to talk to Dateline, or were planning not to talk. Milt Datsopolus was going to talk to them. Foley and O'Day may still be on the UM payroll, so may be restricted. They may also have potential lawsuits to be brought.

I wonder if Dateline is just going to go with Gwen Florio's comments and incorrect information.

I doubt we will hear much from O'day until after June, other than general hints on his FB account. I have a feeling there is a lot more to come through or about O'day with time.

Yes, he is, and a UM J-school graduate.

Shane played for the Conrad Cowboys, when we actually used to win in sports. Have known him for all his fifty years.
