It's also been pointed out in other threads that their conference schedule isn't as difficult as ours. They might barely get the nod over us but it's all figuratively and it's not as clear cut as you make it out to be.
Was a comparison to other possible playoff teams within the scenario...UC Davis is not a playoff team. Also, it seems that SUU had much more success against the top teams, do you really want to argue about which bottom feeders each did or did not play? And for the record, the only difference is SUU did not play Cal Poly or UND and the Griz did not play ISU or UNC. There are more common games than not.
You're reaffirming my point in the fact that you're nitpicking. Sure they had a better record against higher teams. They also have a worse record against worse teams and the comparable records of teams we both faced is comparable and an argument can be made for both sides .
The point is, the wins by SUU over MSU, NAU, and So Alabama, in the discussed scenario, would carry much more weight than a loss to Davis. The WINS over these teams would make SUU's strength of victory better than that of the Griz. That is the point people have been trying to make, but you have been to ignorant to follow along.
Correct, Whether or not the BSC has five ranked teams is pretty irrelevent in light of the fact UM has beat none of them or for that matter beat anyone with a winning record. The cat game has huge ramifications. There are other equally important games going on around the country as well.
I think more interesting is how many have spent the year berating the team, the players, the coaches, each other now believe this team is lock for not only the playoffs but a first round bye and a seeding as well. If half the BSC is great and halg the BSC sucks, it doesn't mean beating the half that sucks make you great. Thats why the BSC is not (yet) top dog.
